What does one do to get disability accommodations at DP? For example people that don't understand context and take instructions 100% literally. Or perhaps people that don't understand socially appropriate responses to interactions.

:popcorn2: (This should end in all kinds of good.)

Could you expand upon this?

Not understanding context is not a disability, nor does it require accommodations. Now, are you using a screen reader because you are blind? That is an accommodation.

You don't get it.

Sure, I go through life with people angry at me for no apparent reason. I would rather that not happen here. I'm not an "Incel" or some such crazy thing. My life's "sweet spot" is enabling people with very low motivation. Lazy people demand less in the way of social skills. I have a high IQ and tend to make friends by spoon feeding learning to those who don't like to learn and by being a "fixer" for Latinos that don't speak English.

I was thinking of a IM-based social skills coach.

Well, I have done many accommodations for employees for many years. What you are asking for is pretty silly.

Point to an actual medical or psychological condition that you have. Having to have people explain things to you isn't a disability.

Autism Spectrum / Aspergers: Fully documented and diagnosed.

OK, so, is DP your employer?

No.

If you need someone to explain things to you, then get one and pay for it yourself.

Why should I pay to be here? Some venues aren't worth paying money to avoid social exclusion. This is one of them.

Like I said, DP isn't your employer, its not their job to assist you.

Old saying- When you think you are the smartest person in the room, get out of the room.
I get the felling you think you are the smartest in the room most of the time

That's a typical Aspie trait. I would have to measure the IQ of each person in a room to know if I was the smartest person in the room.

This is an internet forum. There are no accommodations here nor does there need to be. Not understanding context or not taking instructions isn't a disability anyway.
