I suggest DP create a cartoons subforum using the structure as follows:
  • Satirical Cartoons Subforum
    • Political Satire Cartoons only (maybe memes too?)

      Examples:

This one is vintage, but has newfound germanity.

(Summary info at the link. Click the cartoon if you want a better understanding.)

    • Other Cartoons, non-political satire only

TY. I didn't know about the political cartoon thread in there. TY for sharing.

I still think satirical cartoons deserve their own subforum, but if a thread is all the "powers that be" can or care to muster, I guess it'll have to do.

The "special kind of stupid" one is sooooo spot on.

YW, good luck!

Yes, I noticed the different rules....particularly the "no talking" one. As you can see from the OP in this thread, one of the 'toons I posted is a vintage one, so I thought it would abet reader's comprehension to provide some info and a link to content that would add context to the 'toon. I don't know if my having done so will offend the megrim of moderation.

theres always "grey" areas but its best to ask a member of the mod team. Id guess they dont want a back and fourth over the cartoon but a explanation of its orgin etc may be tolerated . . i dont know...

LOL I'm sure I'll find out. LOL

I'm not really concerned. This is a web forum in which I'm a total stranger to everyone. It'd be different were my professional reputation or even social reputation at stake, but neither is, and I'll be damned if I'll be cowed by or concerned over the actions of total strangers somewhere in a sea of electrons. It's just amusing to see how folks respond to things....

Based on every single one of your examples, I wonder what your political lean is.
