Right now there is a rule a that says if you disrespect a mod, you get punished. Unfortunately, this is highly subjective, and when this reasoning is used, a person has no way to defend themselves on a false accusation due to the subjective nature. The possibility of this rule being abused is extremely high, where mods can call any disagreement to be "disrespectful". I suggest this rule be changed ASAP to stop potential corruption.

You don't seem to be happy here. Maybe DP isn't the place for you. May I suggest Preschool Games, Nick Jr. Show Full Episodes, Video Clips on Nick Jr.

Awful lot of whining from this poster today

I would suggest that you spend more than 1 month here at DP before making spurious assumptions and drawing erroneous conclusions. Another friendly tip ... ditch the victim attitude.

It's fairly simple actually. Conduct yourself with civility, read and adhere to the board rules and you'll have no problems with management.

To be honest, when I first started posting, I was nervous to debate with MODs, for fear of retribution using that rule.

But the fact is, I've been active here several years, and not once have I seen any active MOD do anything of the sort. So you propose making are changing a law to prevent something that has not, and is not currently happening. What's that make YOU, bruh?

Oh, it happens, but no one can talk about it. And you won't see it, because by design they hide all discussion of it behind a supporting set of rules. You can't even say something like, I expect better from a mod when one is obviously trolling you. And the outlet they do allow is a joke, which by design invites ridicule of anyone who complains. And the actual way to lodge a complaint using contact us, puts it into an internal review where they police themselves in secret.

You get used to it. Because in reality, they do it for free and they are necessary. So allowing them to be petty from time to time is a fair trade off. And if you find one you like and kiss their ass enough they'll shield you from the others for the most part. It's human nature.

eh, im not on often enough for that to matter. The fair ones will see my statement for what it is, and the not so fair ones will forget it after my next long break.

Here is the rule:

Moderators are the key to the success of any board. They are expected to live up to a higher standard and as such we expect you to treat them with a higher standard. Any rule broken against a Moderator could result in a temporary suspension of posting priveleges. Publicly disrespectful behavior from a member toward a Moderator regarding Moderator actions or decisions may also result in a summary suspension of that member's posting privileges.

I believe the underlined part is not enforced currently. The bolded portion only refers to cases when discussing mod actions. Discussing mod actions is infractable(this is Debate Politics, not Debate Moderation). I might suggest that the mod team review the rule and maybe change the wording or make it more current.
