Anyone else having trouble getting on for the last several hours? Takes forever. Nothing works past New Posts. Tried to post this thread three or four times. Don't know if this will post or not. You?

I've been having trouble too. Mostly it's page loading issues.

It's an ISP issue. I was having trouble connecting while at work on my AT&T device. When I got home and connected to my home wi-fi all was well with the site. I disconnected from wi-fi and again could barely connect to DP. I reconnected to wi-fi and voila, everything is lightning quick again. Hopefully this resolves itself quickly.

Glad to know it's not just me. I was beginning to take it personally.

I'm not having any issues today with AT&T so it appears as though this got straightened out overnight, at least on my end.

I don't think it is. I suspect it's related to the forum software glitch which causes some of us to experience the appearance of being logged out. https://www.debatepolitics.com/tech-support/294589-anybody-else-getting-logged-out.html

I had issues a couple of weeks ago with page loading for a few days, but only at home. Started happening again last night. My mobile network was fine. But at home other pages would load just fine, including other VB forums. I think what ever corruption is causing these issues is getting worse.

The forum software glitch isn't a forum software glitch, it's a browser issue. There are instructions at the top of every page on how to clear those problems up. What happened yesterday was an ISP issue where there appeared to be a bad hop in the routing for various ISP's.

Still had problems earlier this morning but it's much better now.

How would that explain DP being the only site I have trouble with?

Are you having the issue you're having after following the instructions?

I've tried all the usual remedies. Also, how would that explain the same issue across multiple machines and browsers?

I'll try the instructions when I get home and let you know though.

Well, DP's rocking and rolling with no problems for me right now. Whatever the hairball was, it's gone.

If only there was software that could detect when I need to log off for awhile.

There should be a clock on any device that you are access the site from. Any time there are two numbers after the ':', it's a good time for you to log off.

:D

It's still done the old low-tech way.

It's called a "mod"! :2razz:

Could you please direct me to these instructions on how to clear these problems up, I'm not seeing them.

But there are always 2 numbers after ":". Silly, Red. You did not think this through.
