Excellent Site! BUT !! Many fora. How can I track which fora I posted in?

    Hello DP!

    I just joined this morning.
But so far I'm extremely impressed with this cyber-community. I haven't found a single troll comment, and am so relieved about that (I just left a troll-rich environment).

My one problem with this site is:
    there are so many fora,
I can't remember which ones I've posted in, or
which threads in which fora I've posted in, that have responses.

Is there an automated way to handle that? If so, how?

Or is it simply a matter of keeping track of it on my own?

Again, I sincerely appreciate the sterling quality of the dialogue here. Finding this site is the highlight of my day. Many thanks.

On the top tool bar there are "My Posts," "My Threads," and "Participated." Those will help you track your posts. Responses can be tracked on the Notifications button on the top right of the website.

In addition to what's already been said, hit your "User Control Panel" and that will bring up every single thread you're subscribed to (you subscribe just by posting to a thread).

    Excellent.
I had a hunch there had to be a solution.

"Participated" seems to be the one for me.

    Thanks for the warning.
I found that out early, and found the toggle in the profile to turn it off.
I get plenty of spam in my e-mail account reader anyway. No need for more.
But thanks. "Participated" seems to work GREAT!!

    PS
I did find one petty squabble earlier this evening. But it was mild in comparison to the gutter I just climbed out of.
I really think this is an excellent cyber-community. I'm very glad to have found it and joined.

    My thanks to you all.

I often find myself wishing there were more fora at this site.

We do try and keep things upstairs as civil as possible. We don't always succeed of course, but we try. All the Mods here are volunteers and there's a good balance of political lean among Mods so the chances of you running into a Mod that's displaying bias while moderating is next to zero as no Mod here will tolerate biased moderation. That's is one of the many things that drew me to this site many years ago. I do hope you continue to enjoy the site and if you have any questions feel free to PM me or another Mod.

Ditto, I just left a troll pit (I am still registered) Kinda sad, I had (have) some friends there, but I am tired of the constant trolling.
I will always be there to catch you when you fall.
