Youtube starts ban on all David Icke 5G / Coronavirus interviews

YouTube has banned all conspiracy theory videos falsely linking coronavirus symptoms to 5G networks.
~

The move follows a live-streamed interview with conspiracy theorist David Icke on Monday, in which he had linked the technology to the pandemic.

~Several users subsequently called for further attacks on 5G towers in the comments that appeared alongside the feed.
Mr Icke also falsely claimed that a coronavirus vaccine, when one is developed, will include "nanotechnology microchips" that would allow humans to be controlled. He added that Bill Gates - who is helping fund Covid-19 vaccine research - should be jailed. His views went unchallenged for much of the two-and-a-half-hour show. Link.

I actually watched his original interview many years ago on the Wogan show, felt something was deeply wrong with him then and it still is now.



Hard to believe his website has quite an active forum apparently - worse still, some of his crazy followers went out and set fire to two 5G masts in England this last week. Anyhow, even though Youtube has wiped the 2 hour video - segments will continue to pop up on that website.

Deleting his stuff only makes it worse. That aside, I love CTs. I feel if YouTube, Twitter, FB, ect are going to ban people for various things then they should lose their platform protections and be considered a publisher, opening them up for law suits.

It’s hard to imagine what goes on in the mind of some people. Then as nuts as this guy is, he has actually got followers who are setting 5G towers on fire.

Good. People shouldn't be allowed to express the wrong views about things. It could offend someone.

Never heard of the guy, but it’s not surprising what people will believe. Just like 10% of college graduates believe Judge Judy is on the Supreme Court and 6% of Americans believe the moon landing is a hoax.
 
It's funny that some people don't want youtube to have standards.

How many people here on DP can provide a detailed technical explanation of what 5G is?
I can guarantee you David Icke can't.

This is what makes the First Amendment a beautiful thing though. Why would we want to have government intervene into what people can and can't say?

I have a facebook friend, a scottish guy from a band over there. He is gone full on nutter on this. Everyone is ripping him a new one.....

5G is the desperate need for a bathroom after a rollercoaster ride, on a really scary, near collapse all wood rollercoaster that should have been demolished 50 years ago.

No one said a word when I bought the ticket. But they all looked strangely at me.

I survived. Got drunk for a week drinking Tequila, Mescal and Rum, separately, together, continuously.
 
This place feels more and more like living in the Soviet Union every day.

It makes no difference to me who is policing the societies conversations, the Tech Bureaucracies doing it is no better than the government doing it....we are in the same condition either way....Not Free.

BUT the chance for some evil wizard or hacker to up your omnidirection beam forming bandwitch up to 200giggahertz connecting to your device is a very real possibility. A hacker would just have to hack your connection and change the tower settings to 200GHz.

Deservedly so - how can people claim 5G is behind coronavirus in countries where there is no 5G to begin with?
