Boris tests positive for coronavirus

Let's see if he gets sick and dies or if all this American fear of dying from the virus is way overblown.

Oh I didn't know Jair Bolsonaro was on this forum :2wave:

I'm I correct in thinking that 14, or even as long as 24 days are rare for this virus to incubate? I was under the impression that around 5 days are the average timeframe for some symptoms to appear.

So, unless the virus was transmitted a few weeks ago, I can't work out how these high profile people could catch it more recently, or even a few weeks ago for that matter.

They must be following the safety guidelines on social distancing and hygiene, etc.

Boris and his crew were not following any guidelines until about 10 days ago, if that. He only got symptoms now, but the bug could have been in him for up to 18 to 21 days.

Plenty of footage of Boris not adhering to his own social distancing edict.

Based on that, and it being BoJo, I would have to say it's more probable that he caught it within the last 10 days through lack of following guidelines than it being in him for upto 18-21 days.

Same goes for Charlie.

Well, I hope he pulls thru it without any major ailment.

I don't believe I just said (wrote) that and would never have believed that I would.

But I did, so sue me.

Yep, he might have slipped up and neglected to wipe off (properly sanitize?) every door knob, table top or chair before he touched it and then *gasp* touched his face. Maybe he even allowed someone to get closer than 6 feet from him before his security forces tackled them to the ground. It's obviously the fault of those infected with COVID-19 that they are catching that particular virus - only those who get exposed to other diseases are not to be held 100% responsible for their conditions. ;)

And the Health Secretary also tests positive.

His fiancée is 7 months pregnant, which must be rather worrying for them!

I hope he recovers. I wish BoJo no ill will.

Any word on Natasha?

You only wrote that so you can ask for him to be horse-whipped through the streets.

Oh yeah - Matt Hancock (Health Secretary) has it now too.

His fiancée is 7 months pregnant, which must be rather worrying for them!

Being younger, they are less at risk. (That's the way this version of the virus seems to work)

Lord knows what the silly bugger thought he was doing though, when huddling together with some of his cronies in the Commons not so long ago. With, last not least, Hancock having caught it as well.

Don't worry, Trump and Co will soon follow Boris and Co.. You see the signing of the relief bill in the Oval office? So much for social distancing...

On a side note, I propose that whoever first coined that term of "social" distancing be shot from the toes upwards.

It's physical distancing ferrchrissake, nobody is demanding that we all become anti-social.

Boris Johnson admitted to hospital as symptoms continue.

Don't agree his version of Conservative politics these last 5 years but I hope he pulls through.

Yeah, my horsewhip is restless.

Seriously though, I'm prepared to wish a lot onto him but not this.

best wishes for a full recovery.
