Brexit Deal Reached

Poor England. If 20th century history teaches us anything, its that there is no future in nationalism.

Brexit deal agreed as Boris Johnson heads to EU summit -- live updates - CNN

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and European Commission president Jean Claude Juncker tweeted almost simultaneously Thursday morning that agreement had been reached between the UK and EU on a new withdrawal deal.

Well, I tried to read through and the provisions regarding Northern Ireland seem pretty clear, and a win for the UK. But I but don't know enough about the EU "codes" referred to in latter portions and how they affect British independence.

I'll leave it to UK analysts to state how good or bad this deal is in regards to a clean Brexit.

Word. Subservience to Germany is much more post-modern.

I am curious about next steps, and how well this will play out for the UK economy.

Pound is up. It comes down to Parliment approving it and Johnson getting the DUP on board despite their constant cries of woe.

Yup!

Democracy sucks!

A Mitch Mcconnell quote?

Democracy gave us Hitler.

Speaking of which, there is no future in nationalism.

the EU is the only place where nation-states have no future.

Parliament, however, hasn't been able to agree on anything related to leaving. Actually, that's unfair, as a whole Parliament seems to agree that they will never agree.

For the sake of sanity I hope they can get this deal through.

Thus the We Will Leave October 31st With or Without a Deal line. Raise the stakes so it is either get on board or be blamed for what happens when a no deal brexit happens. He has thrown the political downside back into the laps of the remainers at the 11th hour. It guarantees he will survive any effort to mount a no-confidence vote. He gets his deal or he gets his election. Either way, he wins politically.

The German and Ukrainian agents in this forum tried so hard to paint a picture of Boris as being a clown, yet he succeeds. Well done, Boris.
While the Russian trolls tried so hard to NOT paint THEMselves as clowns and continue to fail.

We'll see the extent of Boris' success on Saturday, not before.

With Labour, the SNP, the LibDems and the DUP all having voiced that they won't support the deal, only Saturday will tell whether there'll be Ground Hog Day 4.0 or not.

Can't be stated often enough (alone for the sake of those as yet not acquainted with your opinionated and inane blather) that

YOU

KNOW

NOTHING

And for the benefit of those as yet unacquainted with you:

Only way the Oct-31 deadline can be met (at least technically) is if the deal finds acceptance in Parliament come Saturday. If it doesn't, the Benn Act comes into play forcing Boris to seek an extension of that deadline.

Whether the EU would grant it as is immaterial to what you spew here in substitute for sensible assessment as is the issue of a confidence vote being tabled or not.

Same thing applying to the inevitable election

Yes they will be desperate and thirsty.

Boris looked quite pleased during the presser this morning.

Meanwhile, Farage isn't too happy with the new deal either. (it's hard to put into words just how much I loathe that man)

I don't know what kind of Brexit he's hoping for - certainly one that's impossible to deliver.

His ideal Brexit would never make it past the first post, so he really is just another stone in the shoe, amongst many others.

I'd agree with him on one point though (just can't believe I just wrote that), namely that this deal is practically no better than May's.

In fact, when going into detail, even worse.

He's an opportunist. Once Brexit is over, he is politically irrelevant so he has to milk it while he can.

With Juncker actually admitting there is a deal means its closer to it than what May ever got to, so I guess your boss Merkel is mad that youre wrong again. eh?

With Juncker having said exactly the same thing wrt May, I guess my assessment of the Russian trolls failing to prevent themselves from looking like fools is spot on.

But thanks for supporting that anyway.

A look at history shows us that nationalism led to two world wars. That is why Brexit has no future. Please explain why nation-states have no future in the European Union.Union has no future.
