Scandinavia Wont Be russias Next Target. Finland and Sweden

The last time Russian adventurism crossed into Finland ( The Winter War), the Russian were bloodied and savaged rather brutally....Russia may consider it a "win" in terms of a land grab, but the Russian man and material losses were simply staggering for a three month conflict.

Russia wont forget that anytime soon, and its safe to say the Finns will remember, and have always kept that in mind when dealing with Russians....I dont think the Russians will be able to surprise them a second time.
 
1. I have just read that anti-Putin forces did well in recent elections -- despite the acknowledgment that Russian elections are not exactly free of fraud.

2. So President Putin would be crazy to start a war with those two Scandinavian countries.

a. He could not count on the loyalty of Russian boys to fight and die for him.

3. We all remember that even Marshal Stalin expressed admiration for how the Finns resisted.

4. I especially feel so sorry for the Swedish people.

a. For the last several years, Swedish society has been in turmoil because of its generous "hospitality" policy (copied from Germany's).
b. Now some people think that it also has to face a growling Russia.

with all respect to putlers hordes and what they are capable of USSR was not "russia" it was the world commie project. there is not chance that they can pull off The Winter War today , 0...

Not a good idea to base your thread on the speculation that Putin wants Finland or Sweden and on the speculation of NATO's response to said possible aggression by Russia against Sweden or Finland.

I remember reading that Marshal Stalin did, in fact, express respect for the Finnish general (and later President) who led the resistance against the Russians.

just to make point clear this is ussr anti - Finnish propaganda. you see they pained good fighting Finns as the bloodthirsty Nazis , much like they do today with Ukraine and Ukrainians
