Rumors that bribe money will go into fertility programs that will cause Protestants to breed like rabbits, in this manner out-tbreeding Catholics and thus preventing Irish unification by demographic shift, remain, however, unconfirmed.

    As yet.

As much as rumors of mugshots of Arlene being plastered everywhere by Sinn Fein, to contravene any such strategy.

You seem kind of focussed on the 'immediately' concept, so how come 3 long years down the line all the UK can come up with to replace the backstop are still unspecified 'alternative arrangements'?

Brexit is like Bigfoot; cool concept, does not exist in the real world.
Cameron didn't think he was leaving, as I said in another post, this was all due to his hubris. What happened? He stepped in it then immediately resigned and then immediately after Theresa May formed a government Davis was tapped to spearhead the exit. Which, by any and all accounts would be considered immediately taking action to leave the EU.

I'm not so much caught up on the immediacy thing you see, it's just that some people will go to ridiculous lengths to not have to face the fact that they are wrong in the most embarrassing way. For those types, I must really drive a point home.

Personally I don't think May was an honest actor, that or she was used as a patsy by those who aren't honest actors. She couldn't have bumbled the negotiations any worse than she did without it being evident that the whole thing is a charade.

As I've said also in a different post, I'm not opposed to the EU, only the EU in its current structure. I feel that they should have used the referendum as leverage for restructuring the EU. I do believe they would have gotten further had they insisted on remaining but only if certain conditions were met.

Sadly true. There are plenty more who will replace him - all self-proclaimed "experts" who think they know and whose intellectual discussion skills are to insult those who they cannot convince with their dull thinking.

Mind you, a few bad apples doesn't mean all of America can be judged by the poor quality apples we find here.

So, some reports say that BoJo is considering a plan to keep Northern Ireland more closely aligned to the EU after Brexit, as an alternative to the current Irish backstop.

Not sure how that would work, but maybe it could?
