Article 24 - the gift that keeps giving

“Article 24 of the World Trade Organisation treaty allows us to continue to trade with Europe on zero tariffs while we negotiate a free trade arrangement.” Link.
Boris Johnson has just signed up Iain Duncan Smith as campaign chairman (a more boring person you cannot imagine) and he is still parroting this line to the unthinking faithful - despite various bodies including Parliaments own library and constitutional experts, WTO former head and Theresa May herself explaining that it won't work.

I shake my head that this keeps being repeated and people fall for this.

This is the tip of the iceberg, the EU has been firm and unwavering that it will not, under any circumstances renegotiate and both Hunt and Johnson continue to insist they can go back to Brussels and get a better deal.

There is no reason to believe that, not one... and Yet one of these idiots, admittedly Johnson is highly likely to be the worst of the two, are gonna be the Prime Minister.

This is an intellectually absurd situation, the UK is sleepwalking mindlessly off a cliff and there is nay a single leader of any party that seems up to this task to boot if a GE ended up being called.

    It’s nuts.

As has been repeatedly stated on here (last not least by you) this isn't about Brexit at all. It's about becoming PM.
