French unit will be deployed in Estonia, 140 kilometres away from RF. How long RF can fight coldwar

LOL the Baltics are a turnstile. I hope Russia takes them so we can finally be rid of this spam.

Of course the thread is war mongering spam by an OP with an agenda.

The French deployment is gesturing to Estonia not Russia. Estonia is indefensible, but it keeps them happy to have a few foreign troops stationed there.

Russia has no intention of invading the Baltics.

very interesting, putler plays the dangerous game with USA , what do you think , is putler the last emperor of RF ?

Sanctions.

Each of 'em wants out from under the sanctions.

Putin's been begging Kim for this meeting for a long time. After Kim's disaster in Hanoi Kim needs anybody he can get and Putin is the obvious number one to see. Kim's already tried Xi and SK Pres. Moon each of whom has his own troubles.

Kim won't give up the nukes and program unless US troops leave SK. So now Kim has Putin to say that to Trump directly. Kim's trying to isolate Pompeo and Bolton and he sees Putin as his best shot at it. Methinks however Pentagon will see Trump out of the USA before Trump could ever act against US forces in SK.

Looks like after Hanoi Kim has made a few changes of his own. Not with him this time were his bossy bitch sister and his unfeared older brother Yong Chol the Eric Clapton groupie who works daintily in the propaganda ministry where they never know what's going on in his headset.

Oh the gesture is just as much at Russia, if not more so.

Let's see your Kremlin thug master attack it and then we'll really know.

Russia has no intention of invading the Baltics.
When you speak like that, one is reminded of Ulbricht saying that nobody intends to build any wall.

I appreciate that facts are a very fluid concept in your book.

But Estonia doesn't have a border with Kaliningrad.
True enough. And if that fence had been erected by Estonia (which nevertheless does have a border with Russia), maybe the Russian kidnapping of Eston Kohver would not have been that easy.

That crime sure woke up Lithuania, hence the fence.

While Putin doesn't like US-Nato troops around his borders democratic nations of Nato and EU definitely don't like huge masses of Russian troops doing military exercises at their borders. Hence the fence by Lithuania at the Russian military enclave of Kaliningrad where nuclear weapons are kept and maintained by Russia.

'We know how to live next to Russia': Lithuania builds border fence with Kaliningrad

Russia’s recent Baltic moves – huge military exercise, cyber-attacks, missile deployment and seizure of Estonian official – prompt action by Vilnius

'We know how to live next to Russia': Lithuania builds border fence with Kaliningrad | World news | The Guardian

The June 2017 decision by Lithuania to construct the steel and wire barrier was a direct response to Russian military exercises Moscow announced for the early fall. The fence is at a prime military area of any Russian attack and where Putin put some 100,000 Russian forces, the largest number in 25 years.

The United States responded by doubling its troops in the region to assess the Russian exercises. Pentagon's response included US Patriot batteries for the first time in the Baltic region, where Russia has air superiority.

Russia being Russia, any massing of Russian troops near Nato and EU borders gets peoples' attention since the 2014 invasion, subjugation and the formal annexation of Crimea by a fraudulent referendum. We recall the Baltics were part of Putin's beloved Soviet Union and continue to have ethnic Russians among the populations.

You're not saying Putin wouldn't if he thought he could get away with it as in Ukraine to include Crimea.

You're saying Putin hasn't any intention.

You're not saying or denying Putin would invade if he thought he could get away with it. You're not saying Putin would love to invade the Baltics and 'return' to Russia the former satellite states of Putin's beloved Soviet Union. You're not saying Putin wouldn't if he could.

Hush now, you can't expect a Putinist propaganda serf to admit to anything of the kind.

Kersti-Kaljulaid-ja-Vladimir-Putin.Stanislav-Moshkov3.jpg

Putin hosted Estonia president Kersti Kaljulaid at the Kremlin on April 18, 2019 for two hours when she flew to Moscow to visit the newly renovated Estonian Embassy on Kislovski street (1921).

They discussed trade, energy, and agreed to disagree on several principal issues. In 2015 Estonia decided to construct a 110 km (68mi) fence on its border with Russia's Kaliningrad enclave.

You're urging me to be correct on the facts about the intention of Estonian president visiting Moscow but writing such things. Google your nonsense, Kasparov.

Good post, what is putin´s grand strategical plan ? how he wants to with war with the west (USA&EU)? Muscovite experts write that putler believes that Muscovy can win in long run (around year 2035 ) this war

soon Finland and Sweden will follow, great move from the European power . how long RF can fight coldwar 2 ?

First of all, Russia WILL NOT OCCUPY AN EU-COUNTRY! Clever he is, Putin, but not stoopid!

Why the hell would he start a war right along the oil pipeline route that Russia is building to service the EU ... !?!

See map here.

It makes no sense whatsoever except to those who hate Russia regardless of what it does/says/infers.

Besides, as soon a the despot Putin clears out his desk, things just might change in Russia. Unless, of course, the Russians remain asleep-at-the-wheel as they have for the past decade or so ...

I like nothing of which Putin has done in Russia. Nothing.

But he would be a first-class idiot to start/provoke a war with the EU. Why?

Because it is a prime supplier of hard-currency that Russia needs badly.

Moving right along ...
