French unit will be deployed in Estonia, 140 kilometres away from RF. How long RF can fight coldwar

I'm curious, do you think the US should have any allies? Military or economic - your choice.

If it serves our interests positively greater than the costs and risks.

National boundaries have changed across human history everywhere in the world. Why did it become the USA's job to use our military to assure that no national boundaries in the world never change again?

I suggest you read your two statements together in light of your own question, "why Estonia?" Someone, somewhere in the US has decided allying with the Baltic States serves US interests more positively than the costs and risks.

Sophisticated people get it, others simply dont.

Ah yes, falling back on “sophistication” to excuse a despicable claim. What a weak excuse :lamo

I imagine the U.S. allied with Estonia in order to keep Russia, an enemy of the United States, in check.

"National boundaries have changed across human history everywhere in the world." LOL you say that Putler´s empire cares about Estonia, they want to destroy UAS/WEST

yes, from Estonia is the shortest way to Kremlin walls ...

Russia's not going to invade the Baltics. There's no point to it.

While France sends troops to protect Estonia from the Russian aggression, Estonian president travels to Moscow to the unplanned meeting with Putin (terminating 10 years of diplomatic silence between countries) and at the end, during shaking hands with Putin says in fluent Russian language: Wish you good luck for the next meeting with French investors. Isn't it funny?

Russia has never been an enemy. Russia has only been an ally in war. The UK has been an enemy. Twice.

This all was about making trillions of dollars more by making the Cold War last forever. The USA did all it could to break up the Russian Federation, for the purpose of creating micro-nations that can not possibly survive on their own - economically or militarily - to assure trillions of dollars continue to power into the hands of the super rich, including the FREE money from interest on the national debt for money borrowed - money that never existed in the first place.

It's all a now decades long scam. So what if Russia took over Estonia? National borders have changed across the entire history of the human race. Maybe we should use our military to force borders to be what they were back in the 1500s? Oh, that's right, the USA wouldn't exist.

The only reason for NATO now is to justify spending trillions of dollars defending other countries - meaning they don't need to worry about defending themselves. We'll pay for - and die for - defending them. How many bases has Estonia put in the USA or any other NATO country to defend them?

Estonian president Kersti Kaljulaid was in Moscow for the opening of the renovated Estonian Embassy (1921). Putin invited her to a working lunch. They later agreed to disagree on principal policy issues.

If you're going to comment, at least be correct in your facts.

I wouldn't even know where to begin here. Were you home schooled?

The Soviet Union, then.

And yes, Russia is currently an enemy of the United States.

Where it isn't from Savushkina St., it's still of the same nature.

Primary drive here being not so much pursuit of political goal but of attention.

Putin hosted Estonia president Kersti Kaljulaid at the Kremlin on April 18, 2019 for two hours when she flew to Moscow to visit the newly renovated Estonian Embassy on Kislovski street (1921).

They discussed trade, energy, and agreed to disagree on several principal issues. In 2015 Estonia decided to construct a 110 km (68mi) fence on its border with Russia's Kaliningrad enclave.

Trump needs to build a wall around Russia.

And have Russia pay for it.

Each time Putin tells Trump to shut up Trump will make the wall two feet higher. And Russia will pay for it.

Fat chance.

The lady president of Finland has more balls against Putin than Trump has balls against Pelosi. More good news is that the French Pacific Naval Fleet is already pitching in against Beijing in the South China Sea. UK has already committed one of two new aircraft carriers to the South China Sea.

Pentagon has been accomplishing a lot of things while the politicians are focused on their Washington fights. Everybody knows Trump doesn't know up from down on national defense and security so Pentagon is running with it supported by Congress.

There's a new agreement by Congress on Taiwan that Trump had no idea he signed -- the mutual exchange visits by three star generals and admirals to develop further Taiwan defense planning (Bolton knew of course). India is now the most frequent contributor to US armed forces exercises in Asia-Pacific. And so on.

why is not just introduce Iranian oil - sanctions on Muscovy ?

Same reason we don't exclude Russia from the SWIFT electronic payment system for global banks and corporate transactions in Belgium that moves $5 Trillion daily. It's not a good idea for us to force the collapse of the Russian economy, banks, financial system. Let 'em do it themselves. As we saw in 1990-91 Russians are quite capable on their own of collapsing their economy. The latest cut of a thousand cuts by sanctions was Putin having to reduce pensions. Putin could have cut the nuclear torpedo program but he chose instead to gouge pensions. Russian elites didn't learn from the last time they played their resource roulette so it's on them entirely.

Plus Turkey is the one being hammered by the end of waivers on Iranian oil. Erdogan's only options now are SA and Russia and he's definitely not going to turn to SA. Which means increased transportation costs for Russian oil in addition to Russian price gouging. Turkey's $43 bn in oil imports in 2017 are looking more now like $60 bn this year (from May 2nd) while their economy staggers from the recession that began last year and the lira continues to emaciate. Putin should send Trump an Easter Egg cause now China which is Iran's biggest customer will need to turn to Russia and also get price gouged.

I appreciate that facts are a very fluid concept in your book.

But Estonia doesn't have a border with Kaliningrad.

What are you talking about?
