Geert Wilders was on TV this morning because he was invited due to the elections next week in the Netherlands. He said he was against violence but he has been one of the most virulent anti-muslim hatred spreader in a lot of countries. His party is falsely named Party for Freedom but what they often propose is the exact opposite of Freedom.

This parliamentary year he has proposed this law:

Art. 1 Islam is not a religion or a philosophy, but a violent, totalitarian idology

Art. 2.1 The following Islamic expressions are banned
a. Mosques
b. schools
c. quran
d. wearing a burqa or niqab
2.2 Under the named in the second article of law, under a. will also be counted any building/room that is used as an islamic prayer house or a prayer room unless it is in someone's home.
2.3 All educational institutions as meant in the second article, under b. were any islamic ideology is taught will be banned
2.4 the printing, distribution or the sale of the quran as mentioned in 2.1 c, is banned
2.5 the wearing of a burqa or niqab as meant in 2.1 d, is banned unless it is worn in the domestic situation.
2.6 anyone who participated in expressions as mentioned in 2.1 of this article under a. or b. and the articles 2.2 or 2.3 of this article of law, or facilitates these expressions or organizes these expressions will be guilty of a crime/can be criminally prosecuted.
2.7 through or with common decisions made by the government, the categories mentioned in 2.1 may be expanded to include more categories.

Art. 3.1 He who acts contrary to that which is mentioned in article 2.1 sections a., b. or c will be punished with a maximum of 5 years imprisonment or a monetary fine of the 4th category
3.2 he who acts contrary to that which is mentioned in article 2.1 section d. will be punished with a maximum of 12 days imprisonment or a monetary fine of the second category.
3.3 the actions mentioned in article 2.1 sections a., b. and c. are categorized as misdemeanours
3.4 the actions mentioned in article 2.1 section d are categorized as offences

He wants to make being a Muslim a crime, punishable to up to 5 years in jail for expression ones faith. That is just part of the hate mongering of Geert Wilders. The man spreads his Muslim hatred all over the world, including Australia so his fake tears of how horrible he thinks the acts of this terrorist in New Zealand was, he is the kind of person who inspires hateful terrorists like the man who committed this act of terrorism. And while I believe he dislikes the violence and thinks it is terrible that those people died, his brand of islamophobia and muslim bashing is part of the reason why idiots commit crimes like this.

It is not wrong to oppose Islam, that is not what I am talking about, but when you spread hatred and make comments like:

- I will be the first to go down there with bricks and mortar to brick up any entrance into those mosques

- I don't spread hate, that is what the quran does. It is a fascist book. This is not a book that should be allowed. Maybe if you remove all the unwanted verses out of the quran but than there were be almost nothing left, it would be the size of a flimsy comic book

- you can only fight intolerance with intolerance

- should there ever be violent race riots, not that I hope that they will happen, that is not necessarily something bad

etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

Wilders might not be guilty of the terror attack in NZ but his words have spread hatred all over the world that makes other hate mongers enthusiastically spread more muslim hatred. Criticism of muslims who are intelorant or violent is fine, but hate mongering against anyone who believes in muhammed is unacceptable IMO.

Which reminds me. Has President Tweet sent condolences yet? It's just that the morning news summary here listed comments form T May and other world leaders, but he was MIA.
Added, yes, he has I just saw his semi-literate message.

What can condolences possibly mean from the very peoples who have been the total cause of these slaughters of Muslims? Why do we all gloss over the slaughters of Muslims in countries the West has illegally invaded?

Also, don't get me wrong, as an atheist I am not a fan of any religion (and an enemy/strong opponent of any cults) but regular religions should have the freedom to express their religion freely, islam included. To say as Wilders does in the law that I mentioned in the OP, goes against the basic premise of our constitution and our country, to ban a religion because you don't like it like Wilders does opens the door to banning more religions and it puts us in the group of intolerant countries where most muslim countries belong too, not something I want to be a member of.
