A 17-year-old has died of his wounds after detonating explosives in an office of Russia's FSB federal security service in the north-western city of Arkhangelsk, officials say. Three FSB employees were hurt when the explosives went off just inside the building at around 09:00 (06:00 GMT). The blast caused serious damage. A CCTV image of the suspect emerged soon afterwards, along with a message he allegedly posted on social media just before the blast. Although the authenticity of the message posted on an anarchist chat group has not been confirmed, the user identifies himself as an anarcho-communist and claims the FSB "fabricates cases and tortures people".

Russia's FSB is the successor to the infamous KGB. The FSB arrests Russian political activists and anyone else that might be considered a thread to the Putin regime. The FSB also has engaged in hacking (Cozy Bear).

Russia's FSB is the successor to the infamous KGB. The FSB arrests Russian political activists and anyone else that might be considered a thread to the Putin regime. The FSB also has engaged in hacking (Cozy Bear).

I wouldn't be surprised if the FSB does torture people and fabricates cases, but this is not the best way to call attention to the fact.

The FSB is known to send prisoners to state psychiatric hospitals. Lord only knows what experiments go on in those places.

Kids do strange things when influenced by bad thinking. Many ISIS murderers are just kids who have come under the wicked influence of the devil and his blind followers. Rioters in America dating back to the 1960s have often been violent rebels against God. The devil is uncivilized and he influences people to do bad things, like this poor bomber under the devil's influence.

I said I thought it was a dull story, and like many of the innumerable threads on Russia related issues you start, it has attracted little interest.

That's a statement of my opinion, also based evidentially on post count.

This isn't Farcebook. That means that neither post count nor "likes" determine quality as they do in that gathering ground of those suffering NPD.

Well they don't determine it even there but some (if not most) frequenting that site are too dumb to realize it.

Well, I didn't bring up that the quality of threads depends on how much interest (responses?) they garner. If you don't see the similarity of such an equation to Farcebook, not much I can do by way of helping you there.

One thing is pretty sure though, derailing a topic like you did with yet another of your whataboutism OTs doesn't do much for the quality of any such post.

Now do you have anything to say about the occurrence in Archangelsk?

Meanwhile the who and why of the incident seems to either remain puzzling or is effectively blanketed off (possibly both).

Not even Sputnik (yeah, yeah, I know:roll:) seems any the wiser.

The anarcho-commie angle certainly finds no confirmation in Russian emissions although that means precious little.
