Belarus, then Lithuania. He has to connect Kaliningrad Oblast with Mother Russia. I have no doubt he wants to do so.

I do doubt, however, that he is that crazy because NATO would come down on Russia like hammer if he did.

I do, unfortunately. I also think that it would take many lives and great destruction for NATO could get them out, but that NATO would win out in the end.

Unlike Ukraine, I don't think that NATO would stand by and act only after it's, too, late. I think NATO would intervene early on.

i think its much more complicated task for ozero, than take over 3 regions in Ukraine . i´d recommend to you watch this from 58.00 to from: 1.04 , Maria Snegovaya ( is an Adjunct Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis and a Ph.D.) made a great point here.

Belarus is already on extremely good terms with russia so it is doubtful he would ever have a need or want to invade them at this time, for other countries he would try to break them down economically or socially, If you watch ukraine it is a broke nation spending mmost of it;s money on a proxy war and has already had a technical default on it's debt even if not a hard default, if russia wanted a country like lithuania they would fund proxies to bankrupt them and try to sway them into russias sphere rather than invade them,.

Lithuania is such a small, de-populating state, that it's increasingly less viable. No need to do anything, its EU membership is stripping it of its young, its brightest, and making it an even less attractive place to live.

As for Belarus, your point is well made. Russia and Belarus share a Union State. It's a bit like speculating on whether Canada will be the US's next victim.

No not Belarus they have great relations with Russia, Lithuania is barely a blip on the radar... I think Sweden will make a really good Russian State, you could polish shoes at Red Square Litwin

The same Andrey Ilarionov who lives in Washington, married a US citizen, and works for the Cato Institute?

A man who has been wrong on just about everything, and has regularly predicted Putin's imminent demise for over 10 years
