I like it that Trump went old school to apply the stick to the carrot of his asap post-Brexit free trade deal. Can't remember the last time I heard of an American ambassador saying anything about anything, now we have one 'urging' the UK to jump ship on the Iran nuclear deal:

https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-i...h-support-for-iran-nuclear-deal-idUKKBN1KX096

As a means for further driving a wedge between the UK and the EU it makes obvious sense; but after Blair and Iraq, let alone Syria, it's hard to see our Theresa having the traction to push it through, despite what Trump and Netanyahu and the Saudi monarchy might wish.

No reason for the UK to join Trump's crusade.

Trump cannot be trusted.

Better for the UK to nurture relationships with countries with sane heads of state.

The way things are going it doesn't look like Brexit is going to happen.

100 seats that backed Brexit now want to remain in the EU...

Do you have any idea what you're talking about here?

prolly more than you have ........

No, no, I know what the issues are around 'brexit' and what the vote means and doesn't mean.
You, on the other hand, with your crappy juvenile commentary show that you don't know anything about the subject and you're willing to trumpet your ignorance to the world.

Brexit could have been a great opportunity for the UK- to form its own trade deals and operate as an actual country, instead of an extension of Brussels. The EU is influenced by globalists like Soros who have brought the migrant disaster down on an already demographically challenged region. I hope the Brits will stand up for their country. The migrant crisis has added weight to an already overtaxed healthcare system, not to mention the acid attacks, rape gangs and several major terrorist attacks mostly caused by "Asians." The English are become minorities in their own country. The EU will continue to demand that the UK take more migrants.

Probably not.

What does any of that have to do with the thread topic? Which, in case you haven't even bothered to read the OP, is explained in the link it offers, titled

U.S. ambassador urges Britain to ditch support for Iran nuclear deal

I wonder what Johnson (the US ambassador) is referring to when he speaks of "global Britain".

The empire liveth?

''Global Britain" is the new "cool Britannia" except with 'strong and stable' instead of Blur and Oasis.
