Russia has attempted to hack into Scotland Yard’s Novichok murder inquiry The Telegraph understands. Police believe that Russian-based hackers tried to infiltrate the investigation into the nerve agent attack in Salisbury, which targeted the former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia. The Skripals survived the assassination attempt in march but Dawn Sturgess, 44, a mother-of-three, died just over a week ago while her partner Charlie Rowley, 45, remains critically ill after being poisoned accidentally.

Expected. The Russian GRU (military intelligence) apparently has carte blanche regime permission to hack into anything in the West.

They are out of control, stealing information, intellectual property and hacking companies and individuals alike worldwide, like a bunch of stalkers staring into people's windows, a complete disregard for anyone.

Of course they targetted the inquiry, they target everything else, revenge will be so sweet my toes curl when I think of that day... and it will come.

It's actually worse than we imagine, although you would never realize that from the "balloons and sunshine" Trump portrayal of Putin's Russia.

In relation to Skripal, it's worth remembering we are referring to the evidence free assertions of the UK state, a state which is apparently planning offensive cyber attacks in Russia.

I'm also wondering what 'revenge' HERA is expecting (in relation to what?), and whether he feels that it will improve peace and co-operation or create further division and insecurity.

Scotland Yard is known around the globe as a world-class investigative agency. Russia has no equivalent.

HERA is female. Are you also ignorant of gender signs?

WTH are you talking about?

Peace is like a relationship, both parties must want it. Russia only wants the west to think there is peace, that way the west will remain unguarded and oblivious to Russian aggression... Russia can then continue to undermine its democracies and steal its intellectual property, information and use chemicals weapons in other countries with impunity.

Personally, I would be quite happy to pretend we're all still at peace because it's clear to me that western governments (except for Trump lol) are fully aware of Russian aggression and the days of being caught off guard are coming to an end. Clearly we are already in a second cold war however to confuse it with the last would be a huge mistake.
