Welsh linguist and journalist Gareth Jones circa 1933. In March of 1933, he slipped into Ukraine from Soviet Russia and was horrified at the mass starvation he witnessed. Returning to Berlin at
the beginning of April, he began writing dispatches for The Manchester Guardian and the New York Evening Post about what would become known as the Holodomor. He was the first person to
alert the world about what was happening in Ukraine. Mr. Jones was found assassinated by three gunshot wounds in China on 17 August of 1935. Many believe it was the work of the NKVD as
revenge for the embarrassment he had caused the Soviet regime.

Ukraine has one of the lowest property tax rates in Europe. Property taxes only account for 3% of city revenues. Unlike in most countries, the property tax rate in Ukraine is based on the
size of the property (and a % of your earnings) rather than the property market value. Regardless of its real size, the max property size is capped at 300 square meters for apartments
and 500 square meters for houses. The highest annual property tax one can pay for the largest house is roughly $1,000, and it matters not if the property is located in an exclusive Kyiv
neighborhood or in a rural village. This arcane system needs to be reformed to collect more revenue. The personal/corporate tax system in now being reformed which will lower tax rates
for individuals and employers.

After refitting with various detection new systems and a period of testing, this Ukraine Navy intelligence ship is now ready for duty. The Lahuna is 1,220 tons with a crew of 29 and can stay at sea
for 29 days. What I know is that it has a Melchior radio-intelligence station operating in the passive radar mode. The advantage of this station over other RTR models is that it is able to accurately
capture the location of ships, aircraft or coastal objects while remaining undetected. After a new paint job, her playground will be the Black Sea.

No one should be lulled into complacency because Russia signed a 5 year gas-transit agreement with Ukraine. Moscow will of course break this business agreement whenever the gas-transit-to-Europe
situation favors such an illegal action. The contract stipulates that any disputes will be settled at the International Chamber of Commerce in Zurich (ICC). The contract is governed by Swedish substantive law.
