Citizens of the town of Stanytsya Luhanska celebrate Peace Day 2018. Immediately south of Stanytsya Luhanska is the Russian-occupied region of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR).
The government checkpoint at Stanytsya Luhanska accommodates up to 13,000 people a day so those trapped in the occupied zone can cross and pick up their Ukraine pension checks etc.
This location is the busiest crossing point in the war zone.

Mariupol, Ukraine. This is Milania. She is six. When Russian forces shelled Mariupol in 2015, her mother died while covering
Milania with her body. Milania was saved but lost a leg. The mural in Mariupol was unveiled on Intl Peace Day, Sept 21. Peace is nowhere in sight.

Donetsk Oblast on Sept 23. His charred body was found in dugout
about 160m from the contact line on September 25. Born in Loknia,
Sumy Oblast on January 27, 1992. Served as a senior sergeant
in the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade.

("DPR"), who actively posted photos with weapons on the "advanced positions" of the Russian-led forces, has been killed in Donbas.
