Not exactly following you here. Negative comments against Israel or any nation/person, that is based on fact... has to be acceptable no? Just because Israel is full of Jews, and the holocaust card and all that.. does that mean they get a free pass for their actions? Of course not.

I'll reiterate. I call it the donald trump test. If you would consider it racist for Trump to use the same rhetoric against Mexico, then you should not use the same rhetoric against Israel. Everyone has disagreements with every country, for example, China and their policy toward tibet. One would be racist, however, to delegitimize china as a state for chinese.

Criticise israeli policies all you want to. If you ever go to israel, you'll see the biggest zionists in the world, like Naftali Bennet or Avigdor Leiberman, criticising israeli policies. But if you delegitimize the state of Israel, that is of course antisemitic.

Only one problem...it specifically states that negative comments against the state of Israel is considered anti-Semitic. That is just wrong. It basically means Israel as a nation, its government and military can do what ever they want and hide behind "ohh you hate Jews" rhetoric. Being accused of anti-Semitism is usually a debate killer.

Even the biggest zionists criticise Israeli policies. There are thousands of different policies, take your pick. But delegitimizing the state, which is what negative comments are, is antisemitism. The only people who can delegitimize Israel, and be logically consistent, are radical anarcho-communists who delegitimize all governments and believe in a borderless world.

The intent of the OP aside, we're seeing cultural clashes that we could be doing something to alleviate. It never hurts to understand how bigotry occurs and how we can minimize it. Whether the targets are Jews, Muslims or Native Americans, the way to greater understanding and acceptance comes in discouraging extremism of all kinds.

I firmly believe that not tackling genuine inter-community issues, is what's at fault for the void being occupied by extreme elements. I like the work Prof Ted Cantle is doing on the topic of inter-community relations (A neglected field IMO)

Why did this thread touch such a nerve with people? I'm asking you because I think you're the one here who might give an honest answer.

DP is, sad to say, awash with fools who believe that Islam must never, under any circumstances, be criticised. In particular that Islam's hatred of Jews must be resolutely ignored and any reference to it must be instantly branded as 'racism' or 'Islamophobia'. You and I seem to be the only ones who understand that condemning Islam is not the same thing as wishing ill towards Muslims, many of whom are personally good people.

With regard to the OP: British Jews living in largely Muslim areas have no option but to move. Here in Sweden the city of Malmö in now Judenrein, to use the word employed by an earlier generation of Nazis.

Thank you buddy, that was good to hear. I walk away sometimes from these threads out of frustration that many people posting here seem to hate me worse than they hate radical, violent religious movements that have killed thousands, and oppressed women, children, gays, and anyone else who is vulnerable. It gets disheartening sometimes, especially seeing many good posters forced out over the years. Glad you're still here! Thanks for the comment.

The trouble is, nothing in the opening post has been proved by providing even the smallest snippet of evidence. The link I provided put Muslim perpetrators on the lower end, and far right perpetrators accounting for 3 times as many. Have you got anything to say on That?

Show me one post or thread where anyone posting here expressed support for Radical Islamist groups?

I never said anyone praises Radical Islamists here. Look, it would have been perfectly acceptable here if I'd posted on rising antisemitism in the UK, if I'd laid blame on white Brits. I'd be patted on the back if I'd done that. You wouldn't complain, nor would Infinite Chaos, or any of the others.

But I cited a Jewish man, who says white Brits ain't the problem. No one here took issue with him, and he's the source of the damn story.

You've got a real problem over there gunner, someone's got your men's balls in their purse, and ya need to get em back.

Have I got anything to say? Just the usual - that Islam is institutionally violently anti-Jewish. Islam, not just so-called 'radical' Islam, is suffused with hatred. If you wish to support a philosophy and creed that seeks the death of anyone who seeks to leave it you are free to do so. For my part I prefer Judaism which does not advocate the murder of gays, 'adulterous' women or 'blasphemers'.

Btw I think your 'Je suis Charlie' tag a particularly odious piece of hypocrisy. You slavishly support Islam at every opportunity.

We hate the terrorists, not the religion or all of its adherents.

Did you see my link in post #41?

Have a look at the groups of perpetrators. What do you notice?

Your attitude towards 'Community Cohesion and Intercultural Relations' is to prostrate yourself before the grossly offensive philosophy of Islam. It is not so much the servile grovelling that revolts me but that you believe that you are carrying out some sort of virtue signalling.

Which goes to show yet once again (seeing how you clearly have nothing to say on what was asked), that your primary interest here does not address recognition of any fact checking, but lies in delivering a rant (however justified or not) on a religion that you despise.

With no amount of non-sequiturs like these

suited to hide such pathetic debate tactics.

Beyond giving that stupid accusation of Sweden's a passing side sweep, I dismissed it as the idiocy it constitutes. Anyone in the know over how critical you have been on Islam here (respectively its unpalatable manifestations) sees that charge as being as absurd as it is.

I find Christian philosophy offensive.

I probably shouldn't have reacted, but thanks for the endorsement

I would imagine my views/position on said issues would go straight over your head. Let alone talking philosophically about the subject.

Come on then. Let us have your 'thoughts' on, for example, the punishment of death for anyone brave enough to abandon Islam. Talk away, as philosophically as you please, about the relative merits of beheading, hanging or stoning.

Or perhaps you would prefer to throw around insults - much more your style.

Such practices in the name of Islam are abhorrent. Like Ayaan Hirsi Ali suggests: Islam is in need of a reformation. So what are you going to say now?

The article was originally written in response to a proposed Islamic center opening in Golders Green, which contains many of London's Jewish residents, kosher shops, and draws much tourism from Jewish people.

How should Britain's Jews handle the changing demographics in light of the prevailing antisemitic believes of many in the Muslim community?

I love how the alt-Right is deeply concerned about Jewish welfare so long as they say something bad about Muslims.
