A Dutch reporter asked the newly appointed ambassador to the Netherlands about his comments about our country. During a conference he claimed there were no go areas in the Netherlands, that the Islamic movement was setting cars and politicians on fire. When the reporter asked Hoekstra (the new ambassador) about those comment he claimed he never said anything of the sorts, he called it fake news and later in the interview he also claimed he did not call it fake news.

Wow, two for two in front of the Dutch media, lie one and lie two. What a way to show your credentials in front of the country you have been named to as the representative of the United States government and it's people.

MAGA!

Our allies will once again respect our great nation because we will appoint men who lie about them and then lie about those lies.

Oh sorry...it is called "puffery" not lies.

Today Hoekstra was officially "recognized" as the US ambassador to the Netherlands and he was questioned about the reason for his fake news comment but he refused to revisit his comment even when pressed by the Dutch news organizations. Saying it was his personal opinion and now he is ambassador so that no longer is something he is willing to answer questions about.

He was driven by horse drawn carriage from the US embassy to the Royal Palace in the Hague to give his "paperwork" to the King.
