I think this is an absurdly naive view-point from the supposed leader of the supposedly important and relevant military alliance, of which's supposed relevance is the deterrence of Resurgent Russia. You know, I've been doing a lot of thinking about this supposed "Cold War 2.0" and in conjunction with what I and every other rational-minded person regarding geopolitics already knows, that Putin is a symptom, not a cause, of Internationalist-Industrialization and Neo-Imperialism. Now, I'm no supporter of Collectivism (or the insanity of the Soviet attempts to perfect and refine common-place human beings into worker bees and robots) but when the first Bush administration, the UN and what is today called the Commonwealth of Independent States+Ukraine installed Yeltsin (a critic of Gorbachev's attempts to decentralize) by falling for his GKChP ruse, they invited the Neo-Imperialist Kremlin we see today to effectively "reinvent" Europe and by proxy allow the dependency of the continent upon the U.S. through NATO.

With that being said...

While Stoltenberg, a former Norwegian prime minister, took up the NATO post three years ago with a more conciliatory tone toward Moscow than his Danish predecessor Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Russia’s Crimea annexation in March 2014 had already badly damaged East-West ties.

...here is yet another unsettling and glaring inconsistency harming the credibility and legitimacy of NATO. If Putin is such a pariah and a threat (Stoltenberg assumed his post in October, seven months after the annexation of Crimea), why would this guy get the post during this time period?

I'm starting to see the big picture here, and let me know if I'm getting off track here, but:

1. Putin, former KGB agent and Yeltsin protege (opponent of reform), succeeds Yeltsin in 1999.
2. The Russian-Norwegian border dispute is settled in 2010, 10 years after first meeting Putin.
3. NATO Secretary-General was Kremlin-backed from the beginning.
4. Then he claims Russia is trying to nuke everyone.
5. Then he says Trump's Talks With Putin 'Normal', despite Trump's denigration of NATO.

Now, I have to ask, if NATO is so important, why is this guy allowing these two to jerk him around so much? Isn't his job to "balance things out?"

But, then I had an epiphany.

NATO is a distraction. A smokescreen. Why would NATO stick around after Bush and Yeltsin-Putin 1991 "Make Russia Great Again" collapsed the Soviet Union to allow for a unipolar imperialist world doctrine that continues to this day, when the USSR helped found the United Nations along with the U.S., France, Britain and China? Why would they stick around, when the specific role of the UN is to maintain dialogue and was the sole reason the USSR and US never openly engaged in hot warfare, and its proven track record would continue to prevent said Third Global Confrontation from ever coming together full-force? So, why maintain NATO if we have the UN? Although largely independent of the government, private sector forces and Western industry did play a role in supporting the overthrow of the Russian monarchs, which wouldn't have even happened if it weren't for the inbred Carolingian ****-ups plunging Earth into war over bruised egos and maniacal ****ing idiocy, which ulltra-wealthy superclass Wall Street dickwads nonetheless exploited (and then of course you have Ford and Hitler and the legacy of Neo-Imperialist Ultra-ethno-nationalism in Germany and psychopathic genocidal retardation, more bruised egos and the set-up for the USSR and US to put on their show in which they hold the human race hostage with fear, paranoia, and dangling of the red button over our species and planet and... well...EVIL ****)...

...but I'm going on a tangent here, so I'll just wrap up with:

• NATO, Euro-Atlanticism, Bilderberg, etc. are just organs, or cogs in the political machine.
• Conspiracy theories throw these in your face to muddy the waters, distract and thought-manipulate.
• POLITICIANS (i.e. - RULERS) and MONEY are what rule the world.
• The UN is effectively a government unto itself, with multiple heads-of-state operating simultaneously (Trump, Xi, Putin, Macron and Queen Elizabeth II).
• Stop following the money, the money is - once again - a symptom and not a cause. Follow the power structure. It is the G20 and UN, they're hiding it all in plain sight. There is no "New World Order", stop with the fearmongering CT'ists. IT'S THE OLD WORLD ORDER. Queen Victoria, Monarchist Christendom and Wall Street gave birth to billionaires, which combined imperialism and industrialism, which in turn gave birth to ultranationalist state capitalism through the socioeconomically-engineered Communist which, ironically, would provide an apparatus for otherwise "liberal" politicians to exercise imperialism through military and industry, which would then provide a geopolitical springboard for the West to bounce off of and discover "military-industrialism," and accelerate emotional manipulation through sensationalist agenda-driven narratives designed to facilitate a substitution of mission and humanity with bureaucracy and socioeconomics.

I'm trying to reinvent my world view, while still maintaining who I am and what I believe in, and standing for something, in these idiotic and chaotic times in these Divided States of America's government so easily occupied by a Global Commercialized Brand and Ultranationalist Corporate Rogue State (the Trump Organization), but I definitely need help with this to coordinate and find an equilibrium between the extremes I'm seeing world leaders going to and my undertow with their mind state in my endeavor to better understand "WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON ON THIS ****ING PLANET", and more centered, less conspiracy-minded, more trusting individuals that actually give a **** about the system (whereas to me it's all stupidity and insanity). I'm suddenly not so sure Putin is the greater evil between him and Trump.
