Yes...I reckon even people that kill their children for dating outside their religion or wearing makeup are still human beings. People that toss gay people from towers or hang them from bridges are still human beings. People that smash womens heads in with rocks for the crime of being raped are still human beings. People that rape and murder children because of their religious affiliation are still human beings.

Loosely defined of course.

We have a Public Holiday here in Australia once a year to celebrate the Queens birthday. Queen Elizabeth was born in April. Most States in Australia have the Public Holiday in June and two others have it in September and October.

How nuts is that. Strangely enough I can't recall too many complaints from people. They are quite happy to just enjoy the day off :lol:

We claim those who still worship an ideology which butchered thousands of American soldiers and sailors, fought desperately to keep Americans in slavery, went on to continue to deny American citizens their basic constitutional rights for a hundred years after the war, fire bombed churches, burnt people alive and generally launched a reign of terror for as long as they possibly could are human beings, anc even, to some, "patriotic americans".....

So I suppose by those criteria even radical Muslims, who are the only ones doing what you state, fit right in.

You know whats so sad? If it was modern day Christians doing the same things and proliferating the EU, you and others would be hell bent on keeping them out. Hell...if it was just modern day Christians that opposed gay marriage, you would be all for keeping them out. And I want you to understand. I dont care. At this point...if Sweden, and France, and the UK, and Germany, hell...even Canada want to bring over millions more....be my guest. At the end of the day? They will have earned their fate.

I didnt call them animals...you did. I DID describe much of their behavior as animalistic leading to some pretty ugly certain consequences. You want to shove your head...in the sand..be my guest. It wont change reality.

Yesterday, apparently one of these anti-immigrant parties won in the Czech Republic. Their head of party will apparently be the new prime minister. Such developments seem to follow a trend.

Are people unreasonable when they seek to preserve their national culture, identity ect.?
Why is it good for Germany to establish legal holidays on Moslem holy days? Are the Czechs wrong to wish to avoid that internal strife?

Are Czechs wrong to flee to the same old bastions of stupidity which got Europe burned to the ground in the 1940s? How many dead was it to crush the fascists last time?

Last time the boogeyman was the Jews, blamed as "communist infiltrators"

This time it's the Muslims.

So is it wrong for Europeans to regress to the usual viciousness? The answer is yes, it is.

Judging from the recent developments in Austria, or Germany, or Sweden or France, or the Czech Republic, it doesnt seem that calling people 'fascists'', "works."

Judging by recent developments in those countries, it seems people don't have a problem with voting for fascists.

I dont know. People often cited UKIP in the UK as a fascist party. Yet it support cratered in the last election. It seems that the Labor Party promising they would honor Brexit knocked out a good part of UKIPs appeal.

And what a **** show that's been.
 
I am very unhappy when people give others privileges because of their religion and habits. I am always annoyed that smokers can have their 5min smoke brake while no smokers can not have their mini brakes because they don't smoke. I also got annoyed when I was told that I had to work on Christmas because I have no family, while my Islamic colleague who does not celebrate or care about Christmas could have the day off "because he has a family". The same when I am told to do all the dirty job while my female colleagues has the privilege of doing the office job just because they are women and we are paid all the same.
 
I can kind of see the point. Obviously in most of the free world people are allowed to take off for their own religious holiday. But it seems that if a critical mass of people are going to take that day off anyway that the economical choice is to just go ahead and make it a holiday. Otherwise you just have a handful of people showing up and not getting much done.

But then it is a matter of determining what that critical mass is.
