If you call Germans nazis because they want to DNA test immigrants, it's not really about nazis but your own racism.

Yes, that's what the nazis did in WWII, they DNA tested immigrants. Good job, turkish education system paying off.

Well, reading the article reminds me of the old rule of trusting only those statistics that one has cooked oneself.

Where the number of sexual assaults committed by migrants has reportedly risen by over 90 pct (compared to 2016), its contribution to overall sexual assault rampage has risen by 4 pct, from 14 pct of 2016 to 18 pct this year.

With the overall rape statistics showing a rise of 48 pct, this somehow makes the migrants still grossly under-represented.

Reminds me of the statistics showing that short people tend to be a greater strain on the health system by seeking more medical attention (more often) than taller people.

What the article also fails to mention is that the original motive for taking DNA tests of migrants is to determine their actual age (lot of lying going on over that to achieve the benefits of youth status) as well as their actual region of origin. Where not particular precise overall, DNA will show distinction between holder being from Afghanistan (not generally afforded asylum) and Syria (afforded).

The article thus very sloppily conflates two completely different issues and doesn't go on to explain how registered DNA, other than identifying a rapist after the act, would prevent rape anyway.

Beyond all of which it's doubtful that the measure would pass alone Data protection laws, not to mention the German base law (constitution). As such holding DNA data on proven criminals is currently covered by the law, creating data files on everyone (i.e. even the non-suspected) is not. That applies as much to Germans as it does to non-Germans.

DNA testing done for the mere purpose of defining age and origin (of immigrants) can thus not be used for any other purpose. Or so says the law.

Hermann is in election campaigning mode right now like everybody else and that actual reality is one of the first casualties of campaigning is nothing new.

First off, as a principle this should already be happening, so it should not be a proposal. However the motivation for this proposal is troubling to me.

Secondly, the number of rapes in Bayern linked to a migrant/refugee has gone up by almost 100% in a year... sounds a lot no? Well it has gone from 60 to 126.

Thirdly, he wants to combat this rise in migrant/refugee linked to rape by DNA testing them on arrival (remember I believe that should be happening already, regardless of the rape issue).

But.. why is he not advocating DNA testing every male in Bayern then? 5/6ths of all rapes is done by Germans, but he wants to tackle only migrant cases with DNA tests? This kind of politics pisses me off..... Is rapes by migrants/refugees an issue and should it be stopped? Of course, but that only ignores that vast majority of rapes done by the rest of the population. They should be combatting ALL rapes, not just singling out 1/6th because you happen to be able to spot them on the street easier due to their skin colour... pathetic.

Yes. First question would be, if the 18 percent of the rapes is equivalent, higher or lower than the number of rape rates of foreigners or indigenous Germans or Bavarians. If the number of persons of foreign decent is say 20 percent or 23 as I believe to have read, then the people to look out for would be Germans.

That does not mean that it would not be a good idea to collect dna samples. But it should be done for all inhabitants. Doing so only for refugees would have an unpleasant an unpleasant goût of populism.

Jerome Boateng (pictured earlier) was born German where Roberto Zerquero acquired German citizenship at the age of 34.

Which makes him no less German even where he sings nowhere near as well as Boateng plays football.

Posting an image of a black Bavarian does not negate the point. Immigrants are easy targets of harsher, one-sided laws because they have less agency to fight it, and nationals are more prepared to 'other' foreigners than their own people, even if statistics show that German nationals are just as much rapists as anyone else.

The pattern is predictable in any country. Immigrants get **** to deflect from national guilt or inadequacy. It's what we're seeing all over the western world right now. Economies are turning to crap, jobs are disappearing, and we are at perpetual war as part of a foreign policy disaster. That's when the governments start blaming foreigners for everything. The pattern repeats endlessly throughout history, sadly.

I am not sure that only the "white" German citizens would mind. But these ideas are being drummed out right now due to the elections and the fear that the AfD might gain more votes, than would be practical for the ruling parties.

I don't disagree much with any of that, just that the pic I posted is not of a Bavarian but of a Berliner.

Interesting side line, mentioned by the German Nazi (AfD) Brandenburg MP Gauland recently as someone nobody wants to have as his neighbour.

That set the cat among the pigeons in that social media went ballistic with invitations for Jerome Boateng to become a neighbour, accompanied by demands that Gauland go live in some pit far way.

Culminating in a large number of MPs of the Brandenburg "Landtag" (parliament of a federal state, not overall German parliament) attending sessions while wearing his club football jersey with his player's number.

Gauland was not at all pleased.
