Macron Spends $30,000 on Makeup 'Emergency' as Policies Stall

Well your tax dollars pay for it. I didn't know that the French had such vast budgetary surpluses that would allow for their President to spend $330 a day on makeup, and the citizens applaud.
After wasting his time on this thread, $330 / 67M citizens must seem extremely painless by comparison! :doh

The irony is a right winger complaining over Macron and his high makeup bill all because Macron defeated a Neo Nazi backed by Trump, and yet not a peep about Trumps 3 million+ weekly vacation bill.

Makeup is only ONE expense that Macron is forcing his people to pick up the tab for.

The point of this thread was to show people like you that Macron is really no different than Donald Trump, he's just more polite in public.

See, we're richer than you thought.

I actually don't care about such a peripheral non-story. As others have pointed out, other political figures have spent more and this is hardly eye-shadow for a night out. I also don't care about his personal life: your sexist and ageist comments about his wife are par for the course. What interests me will be the bilan at the end of his mandate, not tabloid stories like this.

The point is that Macron has spent $30,000 on 1 frivolous category alone. How much will France end up spending after 5 years?

At the current rate, France will spend $600,000 on Macron's makeup in 5 years.

Maybe someone should tell him about Maybelline......:lamo

Boring peripheral topic. France will not spend that much on his make-up.

You seem to know so much about France :)lamo), what about the real issues? What's your take on Macron's politics? And on Edouard Philippe? How do you explain a landslide victory from the centre in what looked like an ever polarized political scene? How do you explain the virtual disappearance of Marine Le Pen? What's your take on her relationship with Florian Philippot? How do explain the rise in popularity of Jean-Luc Mélenchon and how do you think this affects the NPA and LO, not to mention the traditional PCF and of course, the Parti Socialiste? Can the Republicans recover from Penelopegate?

I'm not holding my breath.

Jeez, questions dealing with actual specifics.

You wanna cause somebody's mind to explode?

Did I read that right? A 36% approval rating? So the slick media darling, Macron, is neck & neck with the despised "loon"? :lamo

Probably due to the French believing that he'll do as he says where, in the case of "the loon" nobody believes he can or will (do as he said he would).

Well, nobody believed the loon would beat Hillary, and he did, so... Meanwhile, good luck to Macron reforming the bloated public sector-based French economy.

Well yes and no. While Trumps approval rating is due to his insane ranting and actions, Macrons is due to him implementing reforms in French society.
