Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Monday said that it will continue to block a delegation of German lawmakers from visiting the strategic Incirlik air base.

.............decision was a response to Germany granting asylum to Turkish military personnel accused of participating in a failed coup last year.

"I regret that, but Turkey must understand that for domestic political reasons, we must transfer German soldiers out of Incirlik ... In this situation, the Bundestag will ask the government to find another location for the German soldiers in Incirlik."
Turkey upholds Incirlik airbase ban for German lawmakers | News | DW | 05.06.2017

German planes so far operating out of Incirlik have "mere" reconnaissance function in supporting the combating of IS in nearby Syria.

Deployment to Jordan most likely.

And I'd say it's about darn time too, what with Turkish diplomatic shenanigans of late (in Western Europe).

The deterioration of Turk European and especially German relations had to be expected after Germany and France had begun indicating that they didn't want Turkey in the Eu after the relatively large amount of political capital pro Western politicians had made by making highly controversial system changes to become compatible with the Eu. That cut the whole group off at the knees having lost their credibility and traditional forces took over step by step. The Germany had been warned that this would be the danger of offering a special relationship in place of membership. But the US administrations' misgivings were thought unrealistic.

Now the Eu and Germany are hammering the information markets with the present situation with a myopic spin attached. But this is as little a sudden surprise as the dispute over military free riding or Russia's snatching the Ukraine.
