I think the BBC need to be commended on their docudrama portraying the victims of Rochdale Pakistani grooming gangs. The three episodes portrayed the events, highlighting how the girls were appallingly let down by ALL agencies, apart from a local health worker.

She was continually ignored by the Police and Social Services. It has become more than obvious, if she had been listened to, hundreds of young girls would have not suffered at the hands of organised Pakistani gangs.

The sad thing, as one witness said, "she was passed around from city to city" in Rochdale, "she was driven to over 50 different flats".

This epidemic, in the Pakistani community, has been highlighted in many, many other cities across England. And is still going on.

This was a hard watch, there was no soft-soaping of the issue and all the actors did really well.

I think the petition is a really good thing, Sara Rowbotham was sidelined for being a nuisance and for making the police do what they should have done years ago to prevent these cases from continuing.
Hopefully policing will be much more proactive from now on but at least the inquiries are bearing fruit and more and more gangs are being shut down and prosecuted.

I thought the acting of the 3 girls was exceptional.
