New to the whole thing, but sounded decidingly Euro to me...:shrug:

It did, in a year where public taste appears to have taken a turn away from that Scandi-pop sound that this song, and a number of others, were turning out.
 
One of my favorite Eurovision song from the past few years for me is still calm after the storm, not because it is from the Netherlands, but because it was so good that I think it ought to have won.



Anouk's song "birds" was not bad but if she could have participated with this song she could have won IMO (because it is one of my personal favorites:

 


I liked this year's entry from the Netherlands. O'G3NE reminded me of Wilson Phillips from the 1990s.
 
I'm afraid I didn't care for that song at all, although I will admit the singer was quite scrumptious.

They've chosen him in The Next Star (The reality singing show deciding who will represent the country in the Eurovision) purely because of his looks, even though there were far better singers as alternatives.
Vocally speaking he couldn't be more than a background singer, which is what he has been in the previous two Eurovision contests, but that's what you get when you involve the public.
