Bit rich? Barack Obama 'to pocket £2.5million for sold-out speech in Milan today'

Well, I believe that technically, politics means to actively be seeking and/or holding political office (paraphrasing). And since he no longer does either, he is technically not in politics any longer.

But sure, he has lots of influence in politics - but from the sidelines now.
