Stockholm lorry rams crowds

Terrible, sadly a few deranged idiots are still being radicalized by evil terrorist overlords via the internet (or in person like in that **** hole of Syria).

A few millions.

Horrible news. My heart goes out to the victims.

A few millions.
Thats the problem with people making the claim that it is 'just a small percentage' of 1.4 billion people. Thats still 3-5 million people...larger than any standing army with branches of their 'military' spread throughout the world, in some cases by invitation.

In fairness...they dont have video of the individual that committed the act and so I dont know if we can say if he was a fundamentalist Muslim terrorist or just an angry Swedish baker.

It could be different from these attacks listed.

[h=2]Timeline: Vehicle ramming attacks[/h]
  • 14 July 2016, Nice, France: A man drove a lorry for 2km (1.2 miles) through a large crowd gathered to watch Bastille Day fireworks in Nice. Eighty-six people were killed, and more than 300 injured.
  • 28 November 2016, Ohio, United States: An 18-year-old student rammed his car into a group of pedestrians at Ohio State University and stabbed others. Eleven people were injured before he was shot and killed.
  • 19 December 2016, Berlin, Germany: The attack in Berlin killed 12 people and injured 49, when a man drove a lorry through the crowded Breitscheidplatz Christmas market. So-called Islamic State said one of its "soldiers" carried out the attack.
  • 22 March 2017, London, United Kingdom: Six people died and at least 50 were injured when a car mounted the pavement on London's Westminster bridge and drove at high speed through pedestrians. The attacker then entered the parliament complex on foot and fatally stabbed a police officer, before being shot.
  • 23 March 2017, Antwerp, Belgium: A man was caught by soldiers after he drove at a crowd. Knives, a non-lethal gun and a dangerous substance were found in his car - but no-one was injured. Terror charges were later dropped.

Horrible news. My heart goes out to the victims.

Awful. Just ordinary people going about their business.

Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said everything pointed to an act of terrorism.

What can anyone possibly gain from terrorizing Sweden?

Or France, or England, or Belgium, or anywhere that these heinous and unprovoked attacks have taken place?

Craziness, that's all it is.

The possibilities are many.

You presume too much.

Unless there is actually something to be gained from launching a terror attack against Sweden, the presumption is likely to be correct.

They (the sub human type) have to attack civilised society, for effect. I mean, attacking each other in their cultural home would be far less dramatic.

Terrible.

And terribly sad.

Thoughts with all affected.

You mean "is"?

Considering that they're doing the latter in far more dramatic fashion, I'd propose that those affected in the home area would find the analysis to be a bit off.

I think my logic is fine. I'm commenting on this attack not attacks, in general. This attack, would barely raise a whimper.

I'd agree, alone on account of everybody there being so busy dodging bombs, they probably don't have much time for
outside news.

I'd also agree that this Stockholm attack (like Nice, Paris, Brussels, London, Berlin etc.) indeed makes more news in our media than however many hundred are regularly killed while going to some oriental market.

Suspect arrested tonight. Hope the bastard serves a long time in prison. Whether this was terrorism or a random driving accident he fled the scene. My suspicion is a terrorist attack but yeah - numbers are small when you consider the numbers who die daily in the ME.

Here we go again:

Stockholm lorry rams crowds, killing at least three people - Stockholm lorry rams crowds, killing at least three people - BBC News

Condolences to the innocent victims, again. May the cowardly knuckle draggers rot in hell!

Yes more condolences and candle light vigils...the West leads the world in candle light vigils now.

I'm going to look into investing in any publicly traded candle companies, should be a booming commodity in the future.

This is what the Uzbek looks like. He was caught because his picture appeared on one of the very rare outdoor CCTV cameras in Sweden. Swedish authorities re hysterically anti-cctv because it infringes one's personal integrity and right to privacy. Now they might start to drop their prissy HR postures.

The suspect is said to have at least two separate identities in Sweden, the first one failed to get him 'asylum-seeker recognition' so he took up another. Meanwhile brazingly supporting IS, Hizb ut-Tahrir and al-Nusra on facebook.

To think that just a few days ago, the suspect in this case would have been seen as a shining example of Sweden's 'diversity', or as I'd like to call it, Sweden's Undoing:

Stockholm attack driver 'deliberately targeted young children' as he drove hijacked lorry into crowd.

Infants’ buggies were sent “flying through the air”, one Swedish broadcaster reported, as the vehicle zigzagged along the pedestrianised Queen Street shopping district and embedded itself in the window of a department store.

“It swerved from side to side. It didn’t look out of control, it was trying to hit people,” a second witness, Glen Foran, an Australian tourist, told Reuters. “It hit people, it was terrible. It hit a pram with a kid in it, demolished it.”

He also had pictures of mangled attack victims from the 2013 Boston Marathon Attack on his Facebook profile. But I'm sure the Swedish authorities are still telling Swedes to not rush to judgement.

Having your child smashed to smithereens in front of you is still a relatively new occurrence in Europe. Give diversity another decade, and Europeans will be as used to these events as they are to automobile fatalities.

Of course. There is only one certainty here. This event HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ISLAM. Sorry about the caps but it is important that we all recognise that Islam has never had anything to with anything bad. Nowhere. Not now, not ever.

Personally I think we Swedes are the guilty ones, for not learning Uzbek and making this poor guy feel at home.

To be fair it's not that new. When I was a child in London an earlier type of fascist was trying to smash me to smithereens. As yet the Islamo-fascists lack the skills of the Luftwaffe.
