The point is that no society can call itself "truly" civilized. We still have wars. We still have corrupt governments. We still have poverty. Violence. Crime. Etc. People are not very civilized. People.

What that religion says eliminates it being called civilized. You need to explain to me how being obligated to kill non-believers is civilized. We know what the problem is. Nobody wants to admit it.

Not at all, but that's really the heart of the matter. Islamic terrorists kill other Muslims, just like the Nazis killed Germans and the Soviets killed Russians.

They can talk all day about fighting for Islam, and fighting the infidels, and all that, and most of them probably believe it. But in the end, they're just like every other ideology and faction that claims to be fighting for some "pure cause". It's all really about power, and they'll kill anyone, even the people they're supposedly fighting for, to get it.

So what is your point? Islam inspires these killers. And something can be done about it. So do nothing?

The religion demonizes itself. We are talking about its inspiration, the numbers are irrelevant.

Power, and promises of power inspire people to kill. There are millions of Uzbek, Indonesian and Algerian Muslims who have never done me any wrong, so why would I be so dismissive as to lump them together with the psychopaths in ISIS?
