Why yes he is:

"U.K. and European Union negotiators are closing in on a draft Brexit deal amid optimism there could be a breakthrough before the end of Tuesday, two EU officials said.

They cautioned talks haven’t yet finished, and there could be problems hitting the midnight deadline. But there are clear signs that a legal text is close to being ready.

The aim would be to present the draft to national delegations on Wednesday morning, an EU diplomat said. The pound surged, climbing as much as 1.2% to $1.2756, the highest level in nearly four months."

EU, U.K. Negotiators Closing In on a Draft Deal: Brexit Update

Guess that the EU that puts things off to the last second is flinching now that they are up against a man determined to leave with or without a deal.

I don't take sides.

Today's leaked pictures of election leaflets suggest the Conservatives fear Brexit won't happen on the 31st. So, no... he's not winning.

Several commentators are reflecting that only the terminally stupid will fall for any more of Boris's lies.

That sentence alone shows how worthy of dismissal your whole post is, seeing how the stupidity it displays deserves no other response than pointing that out.

To those less interested in what garbage this thread is trolled with, it may be reasonably assumed that the greater need to compromise was felt on the UK side. Nothing to do with "flinching" either, Johnson knows that he can't get his promised no-deal through.

As I told the other poster, I don't take sides.

Could the EU simply toss the UK out, regardless of what will or won't pass in the UK Parliament?

Mainland Europeans will lose the right to freedom of movement in the UK, while UK citizens will lose that right in 30 European nations. Post Brexit, should it ever happen.

Guess you are going to have to wait and see what the deal struck is. Turns out those who said BoJo couldn't get a deal were wrong. Now it is going to be in Parliament's hands. If they kill it, then they get the blame for a no deal exit and the Conservatives will gain seats when the election comes. It also means BoJo will survive a no-confidence vote. Just getting a deal struck throws the political hot potato back at all those who have been dishing it since he took over.

So many assessments and one more ridiculous than the other.

One could call your offers balderdash at new heights, 'cept there's no more room for yours at the top.

Looks like the DUP is the last main stumbling block again and Boris does not want to stab them in the back.

That means most likely that NI stays in the customs and regulatorty Union and the border is in the Irish Sea,..... The very scenario that experts proposed 3 years ago....

That was Europe's first proposal, shouted down (No Surrender!) at the time by the DUP. This time around, having already been bribed by T May, they are asking Bozo how much he'll pay them to betray their "principles". We know what they are, now only the price remains to be negotiated.

DUP reject current deal.

Funny how Theresa May going to the country in 2017 prevented her and now BoJo pushing the deal through against Protestant wishes.

Well, seeing how he's now announced it as "done" (in hilarious cross-pond vocabulary), it'll be interesting to see the numbers in Westminster if the DUP withholds support.

'Ulster Says No'

sounds familiar.

from The Guardian:

Mr Johnson said to President Juncker this morning he has faith in his ability to convince the majority he needs in the House of Commons. He said based on this agreement and the explanations he intends to give, he has confidence in his ability to win that vote.

lol

He isn't around the Benn Act though if this plunges on Saturday (as I expect it will).
