German reporter asks Trump serious questions, Trump responds by saying reporter reads 'fake news'

I never voted for Angela Merkel and I´m sure our politicans are telling us some lies here and then. But at least they put a little bit effort in their lying...

I would feel heavily insulted if I had a chancelor like this president. Telling so much dumb lies without beeing ashamed tells his fellow Americans: "I can do that with you, because you have not the intelligence to look through even the silliest lies. And if someone gets cheeky, I call his facts fake news"

We have such people here too, but ~ 12% believe their **** and not nearly half of the population.

Why is there no public rage about that?

Thoughts? Comments?

Dude, there's plenty of public outrage about Donald Trump.

I think over here in Europe, even the most genuine Trump supporters now see him for what he is. The only people who will attack you on European news websites for laughing at Trump will be the 50 rouble army.

There's plenty of rage.

The masses are now organizing to resist in a more effective manner.

Nothing happens overnight.

In my opinion, Trump is an idiot and the Voting Public had more than enough time to evaluate his behavior, yet they didn't care and still Voted for him. I look at this way, every stupid thing he does is not a reflection on me, because I chose to have nothing to do with him.

So if people want to defend his behavior and the things he says and does, that's on them.

Insulting his voters

Trump's also going to crap on his voters. His rural base is going to get clobbered under Trumpcare.

I think I don't really care what someone from Germany thinks.

I tend to find it far more insulting when folks whose agendas are often at odds with what I believe and want to see, presume to tell me how I should feel about someone or something.

Most politicians spin the truth. Trump just denies it.

Like actually believing Coal Jobs are coming back ... back from where? Outer-space? :lamo

Having watched the video I would say that the President answered the reporter's aggressiveness quite politely.

I don't like Trump at all, but I fear you might not be one of the people "over here in Europe" that sees "him for what he is".

Aggressiveness ... ? :lamo

Maybe the number of questions and the obviousness of her dislike for him was due to her nervousness. But to think that that wasn't at least in intent aggressive seems odd. Of course, she could have thrown a shoe....
But everything she said was accusing or maligning.

For all those who think the masses are organizing - that's about as much hog wash as one person can take in a day. The masses aren't organizing. Trump is correct, there is so much fake news in this country that it does need to stop. So, he likes to generalize - well so did Barack Obama. If you want to talk about something serious - let's talk about Donna Brazile and her audacity to "back in October" claim that she never fed the questions to Hillary's team and that by saying she had she was being persecuted. Her exact words, were "I've been persecuted before and I won't be persecuted now". Way to use the race card Donna and all while you flat out knew you were nothing more than a liar.

And so for those who want to rise up - let's talk about that before you rise up against Trump because he claims there is a lot of "fake" news in the world.

Trump just bought the US presidency for a fraction of what his rivals lost trying to buy it for themselves.

He's no fool.

He is the ultimate PT Barnum.

He could sell a broken freezer to the Inuit, charge them for the repairs then sue them when they file a complaint and make them pay millions in lawyer fees.

But he won't make the Mexicans pay for a wall

I get the feeling the local Americans involved had pretty much built their wall for themselves.

A true Trump issue really. Political will vs political correct.
Doing what the people want and not doing what the stuck up and ultimately unaffected tell you is moral.

In the end if you want to represent people in a democracy, well you kinda have to, well you know, represent them.

What are these "lies" of which you speak?

You have a lot of nerve to criticize us when you have gone for years prospering while not shouldering your fair share of defense costs.

You should be humbly thanking us for rebuilding your aggressor country after the war and protecting you for all these years.

This Brit doesn't want you to share your burden of defence costs. Don't do it mate.
Don't re-arm. Not ever and definitely not right now. It would be a shame to have to lose you.

Nope, America can pay for it's hegemony. As can we. As can the Russians. Better you put up with our incessant whining.

I really can´t find where you find political correctness in this topic - "silly lies"

The wall. It is politically correct not to want one. To be migrant welcoming.
The people who live on the border however feel differently. The silent majority, feel differently.
Their will was being ignored, their reasons for wanting them were being openly despised in an attempt to disempower them.
But the voting booth is a private affair. Peer pressure doesn't work as well in there.
