I have lived in two Islamic countries. One Shia, Iran, and the other Sunni, Kuwait. Unsuprisingly I have had many Muslim colleagues and friends and know better than most that many Muslims are nice people.

Islam is backward, cruel and dangerous to civilised society, just as the major Christian religions once were. The latter were reformed and gradually tamed and rendered almost harmless. There is no sign of a similar process occurring in Islam.

For far too many it is. Up to and including internment camps, registering all Muslims, including US Citizens, any suspicious activity (that is a wide rope) shipped off to GITMO or interned as occurred to Japanese in WW2, no trials, no evidence, excepting guilty of being Muslim
Oh yes, warrantless searches at any time of day or night.

Also as an ex LEO, I am free to comment logically, on what is going on. Every LEO has that 6th sense, they profile(regardless of the idiocy in the media and from Lefties) and they stop and frisk when necessary. That is how the terrorists was stopped by the Italian police. Profiling works. Stop and Frisk is a great tool. We figure things out by bits of info here and there and act on same.
I watched a news article from SF one night on the TV and figured out "who done it", by the info supplied. I called down to SFPD identified myself and aired my thoughts...they were thinking the same thing but had not caught the murder suspect yet, who had gone back to LA. Turns out that I was right...out of the gate. Just one example.

Being the 7vnth Son of a Son of a Gun, I can see your logic involves substantial assumptions.
Many programs work until the Police as some do, expand into illegal behaviors. Much like Broken Windows policing is a failure. Much like Stop & Frisk was used against minorities with little success.

I totally agree with what he said, and I am 85 years old. I have watched the liberals destroy the Western world over the past 60 years. The last election gives me some hope the US will recover from this disease.

So long as they are not high enough rank and skill to need to be preserved for future operations. I am following however speculation that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is in Mosul leading the resistance, which would be the exception that proves the rule.

I was listening to NPR a few days ago and they mentioned it is actually a calling card for perpetrators to leave ID documents behind.

Islam reached its peak in the 10th century when it kept civilization and learning alive during the Christian Dark Ages. Now it has declined back to a most primitive and dangerous barbarism. How do you deal with 1.5 billion people whose god urges them to kill you?

I was stationed with the Air Force near Tripoli in Libya for 18 months in 1953 and made frequent flights to several Muslim countries. My personal contact with the people was quite limited, but I liked the Libyans, distrusted the Egyptians and despised the Saudis. None of them ever tried to kill me back then.

Incidentally, I once applied for MENSA but missed it by 2 points, so I grovel before your superior intelligence.

Not allowing those who have something to say speak their piece to the people goes against everything I believe in.

It is also incredibly stupid, not least because those who claim to be our betters betray that they are scared.

It might be us that scares them, or maybe it is the concept of free ideas that do.

It sure sounds a lot like what the deciders in the Church said about reading.

Surely the little people cant be allowed that.

To be treated as equals.





My mind will tolerate NO ONE claiming the right to prevent information from reaching my brain.

If you had had more contact I expect you may have been less broad brush. I guess there are some trustworthy Egyptians and even - unlikely though it may seem - some likable Saudis.

I'm not sure it was Islam that kept learning alive a thousand years ago. Perhaps it was a thin veneer of Arab culture that survived not because of Islam but in spite of it.
