ALLAHU AKBAR: BERLIN KILLER DEAD IN MILAN... The Cops Who Took Him Down...

Were this guys papers in a hidden compartment or something? Seems like investigators should have known who the right guy is in like 5 minutes.

Where have I gone wrong?

I've read the papers were found somewhere in the cabin. The cab was filled with debris, including what looks like a Christmas tree that wound up ramming through the windshield.

The amount of items to look at was probably substantial. And police were convinced they had their main suspect in hand for the first 12-24 hours after the attack. Gunshot residue tests were done on the Pakistani, plus his living quarters were searched, items seized. They lost the most important time frame for arresting the right guy, which is the first 24-48 hours after the crime.

And a dead trucker was in there you know. So what, they were waiting for crime lab people from Frankfort to arrive on scene before anyone could go through the rig?

This is so dumb.

And the stuff that came through the window should have been no problem, we have the technology now.

The Japanese cant do nuclear tech and the Germans cant do law and order.....what is life on Earth coming to....

US is everywhere as a worldpower and you dont want to see different people around ?

I think the point is that we need to separate the good people from the bad, and there's just no way to do that right now without the government monitoring/spying on everyone 24 hours a day.

I go to a middle eastern restaurant in my town that is ran by Muslims. They are good people running a business. Why can't we attract more like them, instead of those like Anis Amri? Even his own country didn't want him.

So firstly many Americans will understand the fact that the world is like a global village run by the USA and they will understand again everyone has the right to criticize US in terms of its international politics ,tahts what I meant, truth

Well I'm not patting the Polizei on the back, I'm just attempting to explain why they didn't find Amri's ID within 5 minutes like you've suggested. The dead guy complicates things too, like you've said. Over here, crime scene photographers would be called in, homicide detectives, and then once he's removed from the cab, people aren't going to be happy to enter the cab if they've been told their suspect is sitting at Police Headquarters already.

It shouldn't be that way. Most of us in America don't like the way things are, but the rich control things and we have no say. I'd like my country to stop creating havoc in your part of the world.

Or maybe the Germans are not that good at this sort of thing anymore.....I have heard it said that they are pretty weakly staffed and with slim expertise on some many points when it comes to dealing with these terrorists, that they are near babes in the woods. Look at the history of this one. Look at Merkels absolutely brilliant plan to deal with the refusal of good Germans to have babies by importing all of these Muslims who really dont like them very much and who tend to be poorly educated in the hopes that the next generation of them will be good productive Germans.

These people live in LA LA LAND I tell ya....

One thing about Germans: they won't remain clueless for long and when they apply themselves to policing, they'll probably be the best in the world like with nearly everything else

The problems run deep:

Policymakers and bureaucrats have consistently denied what is obvious for any attentive observer, namely that German security architecture is hardly able to cope with the increasing threat.

The official complacency stands in marked contrast to the warnings of police and intelligence officials in the field. In private, many of them have argued for years that German policymakers should wake up and decide to give them the legal, financial, and technical resources they need to fight Islamist terrorists effectively.

It might now seem that 12 people dead and more than 50 injured provide the proponents of a more focused and dedicated counter-terrorism strategy with a powerful argument. Judging from the record of the last years, though, it will most probably require more shocks for the German government to change its approach.
Germany Is in Denial About Its Ineffective Counter-Terrorism Structure

US is everywhere as a worldpower and you dont want to see different people around ?

The US had to bail out Europe....twice ...before being overrun by Germany and Russia. W/O the US, the UN would have no teeth at all.
W/O the US...... Russia, Iran and China will kick everyone's butt!

Most of Europe has ineffective counter terrorism measures. In the UK, steel bollards and anti truck walls were installed as far back as the 80's to prevent IRA atrocities and then we started routine anti-terrorism patrols in the 1990's. Now, a huge ring of steel will be built around the financial city of London.

It's maybe pride but several agencies seem not to be working with our services in coordinated fight against terrorism.

World's most wanted man is dead: Rookie Italian policeman guns down fugitive Berlin killer screaming 'Allahu Akbar' after he shoots his fellow officer when they confront him in Milan as the Tunisian's ISIS video is revealed

The police did their job and stopped this madman. Well done my brothers in blue.
Worlds most wanted man, that is quite the exaggeration.
Oddly this fellow does not make your list - Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

I am really curious as to why this member of Daesh left his personal documents in the truck, at first I assumed idiocy but after sleeping on it I am not sure. Had he not done that he would never have been found or known, which would have made it impossible for Daesh to prove that they did it.

They are told to leave ID/evidence behind to link ISIL to the act.

that sounds like something an 11 year old boy would write.

Yes. What did I miss?

Agencies not working together is common....worldwide. And it's more than pride, it's massive egos.

Take it up with the author of the article.

They are told to leave ID/evidence behind to link ISIL to the act.

And I stated that it was such, right from the get go and others here said it was too early to know. It was a no brainer.

Normally, I have to go outside my county to get any notable news event.
Small population, no TV, radio or Internet?
Could explain such a limited view of the world?

Question asked was why is ID-evidence left behind. You on the other hand rush to a conclusion.

None of the above. Another wrong assumption by you.

You misunderstand or don't want to think about it. My view of the world is certainly not limited. I was an intel officer liaison for my department and reached out to agencies all over the US and Canada, sharing information. I was also a part of a nationwide, law enforcement, shooting fraternity, which included Federal officers from all the alphabet agencies, as well as city, county and state officers.
Before that, I was a California police officer, in the midst of 9 million people.

What I was referring to is the very low crime rate in my county, and for that matter, in many Oregon counties. In order to be surrounded by serious criminals, of all types, I have to drive 75 miles or more. That's what I'm saying. The occasional and rare serious criminal, has to drive through this county to be of any consequence. We have one or two murders a year that occur here. A rare rape or robbery.
Most of our crimes are simple assaults, petty thefts and mules running drugs, from San Diego to Vancouver, Canada.

No rush, years of experience and common sense. And what I stated, was long before any mention of ID came about.
I waited a day for things here to settle out and then I said it was most likely a Muslim terrorist.

These situations are ongoing....and will continue. It is a life long struggle and I don't understand why liberals keep denying what is going on.

So when did the hatred of Muslims begin?

As an ex LEO you know that evidence is needed. Not conjecture

So when did the hatred of Muslims begin?

And when did acknowledging the reality of Islamic terror start being equated with something quite different, hatred of Muslims?

I have lived in two Islamic countries. One Shia, Iran, and the other Sunni, Kuwait. Unsuprisingly I have had many Muslim colleagues and friends and know better than most that many Muslims are nice people.

Islam is backward, cruel and dangerous to civilised society, just as the major Christian religions once were. The latter were reformed and gradually tamed and rendered almost harmless. There is no sign of a similar process occurring in Islam.
