Terror truck drives into Berlin Chrstmas market

This is a good reason to take a break from this forum, it's become an echo chamber for a few extremists. I have some software to learn and a Christmas to enjoy.

Happy New Year in advance mate, hope you and the family had a brilliant crimbo. No storms for us so far this year and I'm back in my house - we're finishing off floors and repainting. Nearly finished redoing the kitchen (shoddy electricals by the previous owner forced us to take out the kitchen I rebuilt) so it'll be good pretty soon.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year IC :)

I don't come on that much now, my passion for discussion has evaporated for now....because the middle ground has gone.

Another truck? :'(

Both of the Italian officers who caught the terror truck driver, Christian Movio and Luca Scatà, have been in the news.

Movio, the colleague of the man who shot Amir (Luca) had seen his medal chances go up in smoke when it became public that he had been supporting Adolf Hitler and his ideas on social media.

The man who did do the shooting is also no longer in contention for a hero award due to his public profile on social media. It seems that he supported the fascist ideas of Mussolini. Luca Scatà had posted on the birthday of Mussolini that he is of the opinion that those who had turned against Mussolini were traitors to Italy.

Stephan Meyer of the CSU party in Germany is happy that this means that the 2 right wing extremist police officers are not going to be awarded any medals/awards for heroism.

Strange turn of events. Did Movio ever state why he likes Uncle Adolph?

Impure thoughts do ruin everything for a certain kind of people.

They were in my youth not very common.

Now we are over run with them.

SAD

That was not written in the Dutch newspaper I got this story from. But some in Italia have always been fans of "strong" leaders like Il Duce and der Fuhrer. There is a group of people in Italy who still hunker after the good old days (sadly).
