Switzerland is discriminating against muslims

Is anyone who commented above a citizen of Switzerland? :unsure13:

I know I am not, and therefore feel ill-equipped to comment on how Swiss citizens choose to run their own country.

I remain curious though, about why other people feel a need to pontificate on the moral rights and wrongs of a foreign culture with no better yard-stick than their own ethnocentrism. :coffeepap:
................not to mention being completely ignorant of anything (let alone any country and its society) that's outside their personal hick town sphere of perception.

I'm not a citizen of Switzerland either but I know it very well. For that reason I also know that the measures described are not aimed solely at Muslims but at anyone and everyone who for whatever reason won't adjust to the Swiss way of life.

Ah Switzerland, a country with a history of being free from religious persecution. During the reformation, they granted both catholics and protestants freedom.
..................and during the holocaust doing the same for German Jews.

Now that would really complete a beautiful record, wouldn't it.

Except that it doesn't. They sent refugees back to certain death.

In their thousands.

Nothing to do with this issue here, I'd agree. But let's get things right from the start, eh?

How awesome is that?!?!?!?! A country defending it's culture.

Imagine!

It's a magical land!

(and I only half read the poppycock so far, but Switzerland had wars over the reformation, there was no kumbya)

Even hicks understand the importance of native culture. If Chagos could not get a dig in, and let people know his- self touted expertise, he would not post at all.

I guess if you want to immigrate to a foreign country you ought to be prepared to live by the law of that country. If you aren't, then pick a different country.

That's where Muslims don't care. It's their way or the highway when it comes to laws in countries they immigrate to. And the sad part is, most countries capitulate to them.

Looking at the posts around you will notice that even when it's pointed out the Swiss laws are aimed at everyone, the muslim angle keeps drawing new posters in. Sometimes the debate can be honest but more often than not, it's all about projecting "their personal hick town sphere of perception."

.........being, of course, not a description of geographical limitations possibly endured.

Rather, as the "personal" denotes, of individual intellectual limitations arising from choice and leading to narrow horizons and thus minds.

The phenomenon of the most ignorant also being the noisiest aptly supporting the parameters of Dunning-Kruger effect.
