Let's move to the left again! (Germany too?)

I'm not saying 1 mio refugees aren't creating problems or risks, but 1mio isn't all that much on a population of 80 mio.

Unemployment is on a relatively low level (ca. 2.5 mio IIRC), so even if that number rises by 1 million, it's still nowhere near the level it used to be last decade (when unemployment was as high as 5.5 mio).

Even the financial costs of supporting the refugees is not a huge problem, it's peanuts compared to the bailouts for banks and Greece/euro crisis countries. Germany can afford it. In the worst case by making new debts, and it says something that this is even the worst case.

I am not far off your page, but would recall the polish immigration in the UK. That occurred during a boom and caused no irritation, while Germany still banned immigration from Poland. When the crisis came the Poles in the UK exacerbated the unemployment and welfare problems in the UK causing discontent in the British population. This factored into the decline in the legitimacy of the EU and skepticism of the project.

Germany just created 1,000,000 new residents who can complain of 'inequality' in 2015, I'm sure many already are doing just that. The majority of these 1 million people have been granted the right to stay.
Oh yeah? You have any source for that? Because that would have made the authorities processing the applications miraculously fast over night.

Germany's poverty level stands at roughly 13%. Any significant shift in the economy that creates added unemployment could swing Germany to the right. History will repeat itself, IMO.
Well, if history repeats itself in this particular case, Germany will be in for an added boom.

And it pays, BTW, to not confuse the issue of poverty with the issue of equality gap.

The number allowed to stay is 660, 000. I'll pull the link for you tomorrow, its late here in the US. Let me know.

Are you referring to the gender equality gap, or the general wage disparity that is prevalent around the world? Over here the equality gap is usually used to depict gender inequality.

Ok, good night.
