This is one brave woman (1 Viewer)

I disagree, her actions aren't brave. She reminds me of the fools with their false bravado who mouth off in Gaza or the West Bank and play up to an audience when they know 10 cameras are around. Talk is cheap. What has she actually done to make a difference other than pop on some makeup, look pretty for the camera, yell and scream a little and throw in some curse words for extra drama?

You want to know what bravery is? Bravery is someone who actually gets off their ass without all the fanfare and hollywood antics and does something to make a difference. Malala Yousafzai is brave. Despite her youth she has already fought for years and displayed extroadinary courage and determination against extremists for the right of girls to have an education. This she has done under the most dangerous situations. No cameras, no fanfare, no look at me antics. THAT is brave.

Did you actually watch the video? Do you honestly see her as the aggressor in those conversations? Is she the aggressor for having the gall to actually ask them questions about their hate-filled beliefs? Would you feel the same if she was speaking to marchers at a KKK rally?

What would you like her to do? These people were marching through the streets chanting hate towards the police and the UK government, the opportunity for quiet talks are over. Is there something wrong with exposing the hate filled ideology of the people at that march?

More importantly, how do you even know that she doesn't also do this without cameras? By definition you can't know if she has.

The aggressor comments are yours not mine. I never suggested that she was the aggressor did i? I thought we were talking about bravery and I simply stated she doesn't fit my description of someone who is "brave" and i stand by that.

The programme which the cherrypicked excerpt was linked to in the OP was called "My Hometown Fanatics" in which Stacey Dooley met and talked to Islamists and to the English Defence League. Both groups are right-wing extremists, one religious, and the other nationalist. Neither group represents the ordinary people of Luton.

Wow, you people are crazy quick to excuse Islamic radical hate groups...

Except no one is excusing idiotic Islamic radical Hate Groups. What i am saying, and have pretty clearly been saying all along (you just don't want to listen), is that she doesn't fit my definition of brave. She may fit yours but she does not fit mine.

Well, given the history of people who stand up to European Islamic hate groups she is risking her life to confront these groups.

But what do you feel on those people she talks too?

The idiotic extremists? They're ****heads, but i and anyone else who pays attention to events in the real world already knows that.

SURELY that should go without saying.

One would think: "it goes without saying ", sadly "in the real world " that notion is less and less taken, as a given.

No, she wasn't, and it was two years ago.

So what if it was two years ago? Does the vile display of these people somehow mean less over time? And Salman Rushdie would disagree with you on the threat you face when pissing off these people.. as would Theo Van Gogh, if he hadn't been murdered for exposing Islamic radical hate in Europe, and numerous other brave people around the world who have lost their life standing up to this menace.
