"The Environmental Protection Agency, headed by former coal lobbyist Andrew Wheeler, announced on Thursday a sweeping and indefinite suspension of environmental rules amid the worsening coronavirus pandemic, a move green groups warned gives the fossil fuel industry a "green light to pollute with impunity.""

"EPA is committed to protecting human health and the environment, but recognizes challenges resulting from efforts to protect workers and the public from COVID-19 may directly impact the ability of regulated facilities to meet all federal regulatory requirements," Wheeler said in a statement. "This temporary policy is designed to provide enforcement discretion under the current, extraordinary conditions, while ensuring facility operations continue to protect human health and the environment."

So...the green groups are saying, "Screw the workers. Let them die."

I guess the econuts arent worried about the Wuhan Form Kung Flu wuhhaaa, killing them. Well if us hairless monkeys succumb to the Wuhan Form Kung Flu wuhhaaa the world be free to let the cockroaches take over the world like those old Cold War films depict.

Excellent news. Post #4 closes out your point.

Such retarded interpretation. Companies that have the environmental safeguards in place are not going to go out of their way to bypass them just because they can.

Idiotic.

'Idiotic'?

Yet this is the same for of 'logic' applied by the left to the right.
Not so much fun when turnabout is fair play?

Yup, econuts are indeed idiotic!

Agreed. Once again, the left has taken a fundamentally reasonable position, 'we should care about the environment', and taking it way, way, way too far, in a one-up·man·ship competition with themselves, until they all have fallen off the left end of the cliff.

Here we have a company that can't get it's toxic waste disposed of due to lack of truck transport, so they are holding it on site, which is against EPA rules. Yeah, they're horrible people. (BTW; the trucking shortage is hitting all kinds of businesses).

Firs of all what does that say about the Trump administration and the Republicans that before the crisis passed a trillion dollar tax cuts mostly for the wealthy elite. While things according to you are so bad that people will die if their lose their jobs.

Also that renewables could lead to a lot of new jobs especially in rural Republican areas.

Why Republican Leaders Love Renewable Energy

You have also positive examples like Germany that closed their coal mines while at the same time created new jobs and opportunities

How Germany closed its coal industry without sacking a single miner

Also that low income and working class families are hit the hardest both for the devastating effects of climate change and from toxic pollution.

You tell me. I have no idea what anything in your comment has to do with the topic of this thread.

Hysteria blogs prey on the gullible.

Ya, that's the worst thing that'll be done with the rules removed. Let's remove the law against murder. Then someone will kill a home intruder who's trying to kill them. What's the problem?

You got evidence that something worse happened since the rules were suspended, because the rules were suspended?

It was you who said that workers would die, I assume you mean from losing their jobs and not be able to afford basic necessities. So the question is if if your statement is true, why Trump spend so much money on tax cuts for the rich instead of increasing unemployment benefits for workers?

You have also provided no evidence for that those regulations are hurting businesses. Take for example that Sweden that have invested a lot in renewable energy and reduction in dirty fossil fuels. While also ranking very high on best country for business list.

How Sweden Became the World’s Most Sustainable Country: Top 5 Reasons - The ADEC Innovations Blog

Also that air and other forms of pollution have a huge negative effect.

More than 90% of the world’s children breathe toxic air every day

There regulations have a huge impact in reducing their negative effects.

Health Benefits of the Obama Power Plant Regulations

There for example the Paris accord could have great health and economical benefits just by the reduction in air pollution.

Health benefits far outweigh the costs of meeting climate change goals

Yeah...I'll stop your rant right here, since you are operating under nonsensical lies and spin.

The fact is, the tax cut wasn't JUST for the rich...it applied to ALL Americans...and guess what?...the CARES legislation DID, in fact, increase unemployment benefits for people affected by the coronavirus.

btw...I'm sorry if this chaps your ass...but I don't give a rat's ass about Sweden.
