Yes, his predictions are wrong. That doesn't make him a bad scientist. Just misguided, in believing he had all the answers. His work is pretty good.
I would like you to produce the paper where Hansen claims a 4 to 9 degree F increase. I'll bet his paper doesn't say that, but is another paper misused by the pundits. His papers are exercises in possible outcomes like most others are. Imaginary levels that pundits then clam as facts.
I have not yet seen a bad paper from James Hansen. Maybe you can change my mind. Surely you have something better than a poorly sourced blog?
What part of this peer-reviewed paper predicting an ice-age did you miss? Hansen provided the faked data and developed the climate model used in this paper.
