Do you need a ladder to help cherry pick?

Rule here states that I cannot call him a name so I am left with an alternative, he really believes what he says.

Go talk to those scientists.

This is the thing of it;

You are 100% convinced of the rightiousness of your case. You are absolute that there is no imperfection in your argument.

But you are unable to say what that argument is.

This is religious thinking. You are in a cult mindset.

Oh is that what he's claiming to be this week !

My guess is he's really 'Burger King' or lower :lamo

Oh, he has never been to university. Not even to visit. Not even had friends who went there.

Post #471? That wasn't the answer I asked. Try again.

Reread post #470 then answer properly.

I did. You lost the argument as usual so now youre trying to just troll. Better luck next time.

Do you need a ladder to help cherry pick?

One doesnt cherry pick the weather, unless youre a climate nut.

You're calling Stephen Hawking idiot? :lamo

He should just stick to the sciences he knows, assuming he ever said such a thing.

I have never seen the in-context interview. Have you?

Thats a fair point. I'd like to see that too since his death :)

I saw the video. It was very poor quality. It looks like a forgery. A professional studio would have never had the microphone hum that was in it. Then there was a high frequency audible burst in the sound before his responses. Data was being sent to the voice module he uses, just before we hear his artificial voice. It was not within his internal system, the power levels would be too low.

In his later years, I fear he was just a puppet for others to pull his strings, and nobody would know different.

This is deep conspiracy theory territory. Can't you see how crazy that sounds? Seriously, do you really think the BBC were hacking into Stephen Hawking's speech synthesiser?

He didn't ever say anything of the sort. He was an astrophysicist who was more knowledgeable about Venus, the solar system, and the universe in general than the overwhelming majority of the planet. Which is why he, above all other people, would never have made such a moronic comparison.

Consider the source

This isn't the only incident that shows his views are different than the past, and others have stated in the past they thought he was being used as a puppet.

I know it's a very controversial idea.

I do agree it appears to be a conspiracy theory.

Still. I know electronics exceptionally well. Now I did misstate the technical aspect a bit, and I need to explain that. It was static rather than a hum in the audio. The video itself was good quality.

I am exceptionally aware of how burst data transmission operate, and that buzz like sound we heard before his SID voice, was a burst dats transmission. Absolutely no doubt on that fact. We would not have heard it if the microphone shielding was up to par.

I suspect rather than blaming the BBC, we need to blame the individual reporter on the assignment. I will suspect however, that someone at the BBC, pointed out somthing didn't seem right, just like it was pointed out in Rathergate, that the Bush documents appeared forged. They went with that anyway.

There are corrupt reporters out there, but I would not classify this as a conspiracy.

I will assume with high probability, that Hawking's voice equipment was modified with a receiver before filming the Stargate Atlantis episode "Brainstorm." That way, they could easily input the script.

I agree he wouldn't say such a thing, not by free will.

Given your demonstrated inability to comprehend basic English, as demonstrated by your response to Deuce's post, it really is no surprise to see that you have completely failed to grasp the arguments of the climate scientists.

My understanding of the propagandists framing the ideas of the Scientists is this:

CO2 is at the highest point it has been at in many, many millions of years. 280 ppm, the pre-industrial level, seems to have been very good for life on our planet.

Much of the increase in CO2 can be sourced to Anthropogenic activities.

The recent exceptionally rapid rise of CO2 is caused by the expansion of the burning of fossil fuels by man and there has been a correlating rise of global temperature. Rising CO2 causes rising global temperatures.

We need to act now to stop the rise of CO2 because it is the cause of Global Warming and, if we don't act now, Earth will become exactly like Venus and our planet will be incapable of supporting life.

Is that pretty much what you're talking about?

Do you watch the video that LoP posted? Do you also think the BBC hacked into Hawking's voice synthesiser?

I agree he wouldn't say such a thing, not by free will.

I think Hawking might have said it, but then again he could have just been engaging in political hyperbole. That interview happened shortly before his death so I doubt he was functioning at full mental capacity by then.

I hear a lot of nutty things in this forum, but that might be the nuttiest.

When your beliefs are deeply challenged, insane explanations for conflicting facts are normal. Also see “the NASA website is written by communications people and not scientists”, “the National Academy of Science’s statement on climate change is not their real view”, etc etc

I did. You lost the argument as usual so now youre trying to just troll. Better luck next time.

So you don't want to answer my question so you call me a name instead? Thank you for conceding. :2wave:

I have but why does that matter? I was asked which scientists hypothesized that Earth will be more like Venus in the undetermined future. I provided.

That Earth isn't Venus and never will be .... all the rest is just poltics .... but you already knew that

Correct. I was already aware that Earth isn't Venus. Everyone here was already aware of that. "The rest is just politics" is incorrect: physics isn't binary. "Venus/Not Venus" was not the question here to begin with.

This is religious thinking. You are in a cult mindset.

Why do people keep thinking that I believe that Earth will turn into Venus soon? Are you guys so blind in your AGW denial that you have difficult time with reading comprehension?
One more time, I do not think Earth will turn into Venus any time soon.

""Venus is like Earth in so many ways, a sort of kissing cousin. She's almost the same size as Earth, a touch closer to the sun. She has an atmosphere”, he explained.

NASA says that Venus looked very much like Earth 4 billion years ago and was habitable for approximately 2 billion years. The reason why the planet turned uninhabitable is due to increased greenhouse gases in its atmosphere.

As the planet warmed, and more heat was trapped in the atmosphere, water resources kept suffering excessive vaporing. The feedback loop continued until the oceans evaporated, affecting the planet’s capacity to accommodate life.

“This is what happens when greenhouse gases are out of control”, he said.

"Next time you meet a climate-change denier, tell them to take a trip to Venus; I will pay the fare”, he added.

Last June, Stephen Hawking said that the next 100 years will be very decisive for the future of the planet, with the main threats being a nuclear war, genetically engineered viruses and global warming."

Do you watch the video that LoP posted? Do you also think the BBC hacked into Hawking's voice synthesiser?

Must I remind you of my words?

Do you forget easily, or act like you forget to imply things not said? What does thin imply about ethics?

I said: "I suspect rather than blaming the BBC, we need to blame the individual reporter on the assignment."

I think all that would be needed was the knowledge such a device existed. I doubt it was encrypted.

I would appreciate it if I didn't have to wast my time correcting your mistakes.

I know right? People like him and PoS are so deep in conspiracy theories just like Trump is. And they said that Stephen Hawking lost his mental capacity. :lamo

I think Hawking might have said it, but then again he could have just been engaging in political hyperbole. That interview happened shortly before his death so I doubt he was functioning at full mental capacity by then.

If it wasn't for the clear data burst that is heard just before every time his synthesizer spoke, I would agree with that idea.
