Greta Thunberg have found her ride to the UN climate summit.

"Teen climate activist Greta Thunberg will make the COP25 UN climate summit after hitching a ride back across the Atlantic with an Australian couple travelling the world.

The 16-year-old had travelled from her native Sweden to California by boat, train and electric car and was planning to continue on to the next round of climate negotiations, originally scheduled to be held in Santiago, Chile in December.

The Santiago summit was cancelled by Chile's government because of political unrest in the South American country and moved to the Spanish capital of Madrid.

Ms Thunberg refuses to fly because of the carbon emissions involved and had been searching for an environmentally-friendly way to travel back to Europe to attend the summit."

More a testament to certain peoples' character.

They **** themselves over Hogg as well, and he really hasn't had anything in the way of a practical impact.

Think about it. First they try to "disprove" AGW by mocking Al Gore for flying on a plane. Then when Greta takes boats, they mock her for that. Pathetic.

The deniers have been quite in this thread but they have continue to create new threads and post about her all over this forum. That this show the impact she and the growing climate movement has.

That the growing movement also scares fossil fuel companies and others powerful economical and political interests that wants to defend and profit from the status quo.

Please show proof that anyone is disproving AGW by citing Al Gore's plane rides as evidence of that.

Yeah, nobody ever did that.

But Gore. I guess the craziest thing he's done...which isn't all that crazy when you think about it...is show his hypocrisy. He spouts off about global warming (or whatever the term of the day is) while he jets around the world in his CO2 producing airplanes. But hey...he's made a lot of money doing it.

Will you get back to me when the climate change advocates like gore start walking and stop flying. When he puts a wind turbine in his yard and cuts off the electric? When he eats spinach in lieu of steak?

While Gore was jet-setting around the globe on gas guzzling ozone-destroying climate and location changing private planes, warning everyone of his view of impending immediate global warming flood disasters facing place like NYC, fsimply went on as usual as little chicken climate change alarm clocks rang themselves silly and then broke - repeatedly.

Oh look, there are people trying to use Gore's use of a plane to suggest that he is lying in what he says about AGW. And that's only from the first 10-result page of results in advanced search. Many many more pages show up. You'll probably just run your mouth to deflect, deny, or possibly lie. That's if you don't jump thread to run your mouth at other people who do not idiotically and arrogantly deny science they cannot understand. Whatever you do, you sure won't admit that you were wrong. People who demand "proof" never do.

They also never have anything intelligent to say, particularly about AGW. Not only is that because it remains valid (as all science does until actually disproven), but also because you couldn't understand even 10% of a peer reviewed paper about it; not any equations, not any charts, not even the most basic of facts. You're a science fiction writer, not a scientist.

You are also the guy who couldn't tell the difference between a global climate....

....and the weather one day in the UK.

Anyway, I've given you more attention than you deserve. This is the first post of yours I've read in months, and that's only because I accidentally clicked on your quote notification than the one below it, Fledermaus's. Don't feel too bad. At least you got your posting name right.

Your claim is false. What is demonstrated is that Gore's a hypocrite. His hypocrisy isn't AGW evidence either way.

UK weather: coldest day in seven years as mercury drops to -14.4C | UK news | The Guardian

The lowest temperature in the UK for seven years was recorded on Thursday as snowy and icy weather continued to hit Britain.
Residents of Braemar in north-east Scotland were shivering in a temperature of -14.4C (6.1F), the Met Office said – the lowest temperature in the UK since 2012 when it reached -15.6C (3.9F) at Holbeach, Lincolnshire.

Funny how all the eco-nuts keep complaining of the record heatwaves over the summer, yet they completely ignored the record cold just a few months ago..

San Angelo breaks weather record with lowest temperature on July 24

It certainly felt like Christmas in July on Wednesday morning when a cold front washed over West Texas and broke a century-old record low for San Angelo.San Angelo residents felt the cool temperatures as the low hit 57 degrees, making it the coolest July 24 on record. It narrowly beat the previous record of 58, which was set 104 years ago on July 24, 1915.
Abilene also broke its record with a cool 62 degrees, breaking the record of 65 degrees set in 1989. Most of the West Central Texas region felt lows in the 50-degree range, according to the National Weather Service.

I'll just leave this here.

Yup, these maniacs and their fanatical supporters of climate change pseudo science now want to force everyone to become vegans and bring back swamps! What's next, ban people from farting too?

This is the new fascism of the 21st century.

Doesn't know the difference between a global climate over time, and weather in one place on one day; scared of being forced to become vegan and being "ban[ned] . . . from farting." Yeah, that sounds like an educated, trained, and experienced scientist who works in the AGW field and might be worth listening to.

Right.

People aren't as stupid as you need them to be in general. But I suppose there are enough people saying this hopelessly stupid crap for purely political reasons. So you can high-five each other for each saying something hopelessly stupid and/or dishonest, then tell yourselves all the high-fiving means you were right and thus win a prize.

Your claim is false. What is demonstrated is that Gore's a hypocrite. His hypocrisy isn't AGW evidence either way.

I respond to you even less than to him. I have no desire to get sucked down in to a rabbit hole of confused contrarianism and goalpost shifting.

Those quotes merely claim that Al Gore is a hypocrite, none of them show that Gore's flying as refuting AGW that you have claimed. So it looks like your posts are nothing but a lie, as always. Why do you keep spreading falsehoods?

Your posts are either rants or lies. Youre definitely not a lawyer.

To be precise, I didn't say Gore was lying. I said he is a hypocrite.

Sorry, but including that out of context snippet of one of my posts doesn't help you.

[h=2]German Philosopher: Greta’s UN Appearance “Aggressive And Fanatical”…”Barely Veiled” Misanthropy[/h]By P Gosselin on 20. November 2019
[h=2]Climate Debate Going Into Mass Psychosis?[/h]Hat-tip: Die kalte Sonne
At the online German news weekly Der Spiegel here, we find an interview with philosopher Alexander Grau.
Grau has been studying the language and symbols in the climate debate and also works as a freelance cultural and business journalist. He writes the column “Grauzone” for political magazine “Cicero”.
When asked by Spiegel what he thought when he saw Greta Thunberg’s outburst at the UN in New York and her emotional accusation of “how dare you!”, Grau responded:
Greta Thunberg’s performance was aggressive and fanatical. That was repulsive and clumsy. “Fridays for Future” on the other hand has to make Thunberg’s message suitable for events. This is about mass communication: the result is political kitsch: simple solutions, sub-complex problem consideration, strong collective emotionalization, transfiguration of nature and a denial of reality that claims to be realism.”
He tells Spiegel: “Greta Thunberg’s appearance had something fanatical about it.”
When Spiegel asks if Greta Thunberg and “Fridays for Future” call on us to finally acknowledge the reality of climate change and draw conclusions from it, Grau says that there’s a series of conflicting goals at play:
But the whole story also includes the fact that we are dealing with a series of conflicting goals. Climate protection is just one of many political goals. Without poverty reduction, for example, we will not get a grip on overpopulation. But for that we need economic growth and a great deal of cheap energy. A complete phase-out of humanity from fossil fuels could lead to even greater catastrophes.
Grau also told Spiegel in the interview:
In view of human intervention in the ecosystem, many people think that the world would be more peaceful, ecological and harmonious without humans. But that is nonsense. Man, also the man of modernity, is part of nature, not an external foreign body. Here a cynical misanthropy is barely veiled.”

Deniers should have turned their anger towards Republicans and the fossil fuel companies for failing to disprove manmade gloabal warming and instead acknowledging the urgent need for action.

If the deniers truly believed manmade global warming wasn't real and also if they had some guts and decency.

Instead they attack Greta Thunberg with nasty propaganda time and again. Because all the deniers have left is trying to create a partisan we against them to rally up the die hard deniers.

New study show that Greta Thunberg is right by for example sailing across the Atlantic.

"The climate movement has been riven lately by a debate pitting individual lifestyle change against systemic change, as if the two compete.

Many experts contend both are needed, and new research links them even more closely. The public is more likely to support systemic action, the study finds, if those advocating it have a low carbon footprint.

“It is really important that scientists, or other messengers who communicate with the public, model those behaviors that reduce carbon emissions to drive their point home,” one of the authors, Professor Elke Weber, said in an interview released yesterday by Princeton University."
