Yeah, it was a concern at the highest levels in Government, Science bodies, and the individual Scientist.
The Media back in those days were much better in presenting even handed reports, even when they sounded worried. Today the Media distort, misrepresent and flat out lie about anything, to promote an obvious climate fearmongering propaganda, for their powerful clients.
By the way who owns the Media?
