Pocahontas Warren is the first minority woman of color running for president who is both poor Native American Indian and also an all white rich privileged class hoe. She is offering to give so many things away that it is hard to keep track of the mounting costs of everything she is promising. However, she does provide answers to key questions, which go somewhat like this:
Interviewer (I): Your new green deal proposals carry a potential price tag of $3-$4 trillion a year in new costs. How do you propose to pay for these costs?
Pocahontas (P): As you know there will be huge costs savings resulting from the implementation of these great new deals, whether in climate change, college tuition, free healthcare or whatever.
I: The CBO estimates the trillions of dollars in new costs figured in their estimates already have incorporated any savings.
P: The CBO tends to be too conservative, but savings are not the only benefit we will receive from these new government mandated programs.
I: But how are we going to pay for these expensive new programs?
P: I will raise taxes on the rich so they will finally be paying their fair share of the costs.
I: But you will possibly get only about $1 trillion in additional revenues if the rich are taxed at the highest possible rate according to the CBO. Does that mean you see raising taxes on the middle class as well?
P: You need to understand that everyone's costs will be going down with universal healthcare.
I: But do you plan on raising taxes on the middle class?
P: Everybody pays taxes to benefit the whole country so nobody should think that unfair.
I: But I specifically asked if you plan to raise taxes on the middle class?
P: We will maintain tax fairness for all Americans under my plan.
I: But are you willing to raise taxes on the middle class if you think that is fair?
P: Tax policies must be decided in Congress and I will do everything possible to keep everyone's taxes fair.
