The new IPCC report emphasises that land will have to be managed more sustainably so that it releases much less carbon than at present. Peat lands will need to be restored by halting drainage schemes; meat consumption will have to be cut to reduce methane production; while food waste will have to be reduced.


Among the measures put forward by the report is the proposal of a major shift towards vegetarian and vegan diets. “The consumption of healthy and sustainable diets, such as those based on coarse grains, pulses and vegetables, and nuts and seeds … presents major opportunities for reducing greenhouse gas emissions,” the report states.

Given that some 48% of the total CO2 emissions are what we exhale and the animals that feed us are what is claimed to drive climate change are you prepared to put your head on the block in order to 'save' the planet ? ..... Thought not :wink:

Then we take all the annual station averages from the equator to the poles winter spring summer and fall and compute
the annual average global temperature. Finally all the annual global average temperatures are plotted out to see if there’s
a trend or not, and if there is, it is declared an artifact of human activity and a problem. The solution to the “problem”
requires that we all eat tofu, ride the bus and then on our 65th birthday in order to save the planet, show up at the local
Gaia Center to be euthanized.

It's a direct quote- they want a major change in how we eat, which means meat will eventually be banned because of its carbon footprint. Anyone who cant see this is blind.

You think you know the earth is billions of years old but you could not prove that if your life depended on it. Bad scientific assumptions and conclusions and you suck it up like life-giving water. Is there any clue the old delusional story lines are false? Of course there are clues. The earth's decreasing rate of rotation is a clue. C14 in diamonds, coal and oil is a clue. the moon's young recession from the earth is a clue. The lack of large amounts of sediments in the ocean ism a clue. The fact that 10 year old rocks from the Mt. St. Helens eruption have tested at millions of years old is a clue. The fact of non-fossilized soft tissues in dinosaur bones is a clue. That's the same response I got from my deluded Darwinist biology professor in college. When I asked about the time problem facing evolutionist by the chimpanzee Y-chromosome, he kicked me out of the class for talking about religion. As God is my witness I never said a single word about religion. That is what dummass delusion will do to people.

Besides the fact that eating Vegan or Vegetarian more often would probably be a very healthy proposition for most Americans, who tend to be overweight and/or obese; there is nothing in the way of MANDATES for any climate change topic. Name one mandate that affects you as a citizen.
 
Simple fact - if you believe in man made climate change and man's ability to alter the course of climate change into the future, then you have to also believe that allowing the two most populated countries on the planet (China and India) to continue to create billions of additional humans and do nothing to reduce their own carbon footprint leaves all of the climate remediation actions of other countries on this planet a total waste of time, effort, and wealth. Here in Canada, I hear the climate angels bleating non-stop about having to put a price of carbon and reduce our carbon footprint, no matter what the cost to our economy and individual's financial health while ignoring the fact that Canada produces about 1% of the known man made carbon while China and India, whom the IPCC allow to do nothing for decades to come, produce almost half.


Until such time as China and India are verifiably mandated to change, I will not support any such action in my country or in any other country. I will not support beggaring my country's economy on a fools virtue signaling futile exercise.
 
No one is going to confiscate pork and beans from denialists and make them eat broccoli instead. As for being a vegetarian, I like it. I didn't do it for climate change as much as I did it to prevent my portion of animal cruelty, though.
