My first point about Mann's comments is easily verifiable by just listening to the podcast linked to in the original article. Obviously you never listened to it and for some reason think that I have to support it somehow. Now tell me Sunny... what do I have to do? Write a transcript of the podcast just for you? Especially after you accused us "alarmist/warmist defenders" of just blindly defending Mann without listening to the podcast when you refuse to listen to it as well.

Then there is the point about Joe Bastardi getting his numbers wrong. This is something that anybody with some honesty, math skills, and ability to look things up can verify.

Yet you manage to post ZERO evidence to ME that he is wrong. It appears YOU don't have the skill to show me the math. :lol:

That one line from Mann was not the only thing he said or the only evidence he gave about why Australia's latest fires were the worst ever. Granted... Mann's wording could have been better but this site is just lying about what Mann said.

The article also cites Joe Bastardi who gets his math wrong and uses just area burned to determine the worst fire. Problem is that the biggest bush fire ever effected mostly desert and largely uninhabited central regions. Plus he completely ignores all the other factors that determine how bad a fire is or the trend in fires. Like the frequency of fires that have been on the increase as the planet warms.

Then the article outright lies about Australia having environmental laws and recent policies that restrict logging and the clearing of brush. I have looked into this and know it is just not true.

It then goes on to cherry-pick data and misrepresent the science to lie about what climate change is doing to Austalia.

Wow! That is just not true.

I made 4 points about the Heartland article. All 4 of them are a counterpoint to the article. So you claiming that I made no counterpoints is just a completely idiotic statement.

The first one required no source because it was already given in the article(the link to the podcast) and the evidence that Mann said more than described was in that recording.

And the one about there not being any environmental laws and recent policies does not require any evidence or sources since you can't prove a negative. Now if you or any other denialist wants to prove that one wrong then cite the law or policy that backs up the Heartland article.

And as far as the other two counterpoints I made... If anyone wants to seriously debate them then I will be happy to provide further evidence if you guys are unable to fack check them yourselves.

Fact of the matter is that you claiming I have presented "ZERO evidence, ZERO sources, ZERO counterpoints" is another denialist lie.

Rational people would use actual evidence/facts to make a counterpoint, NOT "points" which are NOT evidence/facts at all.

I went and briefly looked over the article and almost every link used to back up this BS goes to more denialist BS. I was only able to find one actually study of global droughts but it backs up Mann's claim that some refugee problems are caused by drought. Especially in North Africa and some parts of the Middle East.

Damn Jack, you should stick to cutting and pasting WUWT. It is at least a little more honest than the junk the Heartland Institute puts out.
