Red States Get Dose of Climate Change

Give it time. It will happen. Just look at the every improving line of clean electric cars. I believe we have increased our wind power quite a bit as well.
I think the biggest reason why people don't buy more electric powered vehicles is our infrastructure, but even that is being worked on.
In the meantime, we can take some personal responsibility. It starts small. Most people walk past when they see a faucet running somewhere. I turn it off, or notify management if it doesn't. Just an example.

Why would it happen?

Republicans clearly don't want a change of the system. Now, you're going to need to change the Constitution. That'll require a massive amount of people supporting PR. Even if Democrats wanted this, which they kind of don't, then you still don't have enough people.

Same data - just posted a different way. Point is 9 of the 10 hottest years have been after 2000. If we start returning to 1980 levels, you can start tooting your horn.
How do you know we haven't, started returning to 1980 levels?
The average for the 1980's (GISS)was .253 C, the decade average to 2018 .749C, a delta of .496C,
but in the last two years the average has dropped by .2C, 40% of the total.
Returning to the 1980's level would require a halt in warming, and a some cooling, both are present.
No one knows if the cooling would continue, but it could represent a start of something.

Hint - look for a drastic downward trend --->

You keep making foolish postings since that chart YOU posted actually destroys your feeble argument and supports Jack, here is how by looking at YOUR chart at post 48

From YOUR chart:

2016 about +2.30C
2017 about +2.10C
2018 about +1.90C

It is going down.

Jack had stated it was a cooling trend from 2016, which YOUR OWN chart supports his contention.

Then at Post 50, I posted two Temperature charts based on HadCrut4 and UAH data that clearly shows a COOLING trend since 2016.

The evidence is clear, it has been cooling since 2016, your irrational insistence against this is plain silly.

One more time, this one based on a RUNNING average:

Once again he is using a heaving manipulated PISS chart, once again the well known Global COOLING from the 1940's to the 1970's have been erased, it was once about .50C cooling to now about .10C

Secondly he doesn't provide a direct link, but here is a PISS chart I generate with a link behind it:

You got smashed once again.....

Once again, you seem to be challenged with reality. 2016 was incredibly hot. It was the hottest ever. It was a scorcher. 2017 was the 2nd warmest ever. 14 of the 15 hottest years ever have occurred since 2000. I repeat ---> 14 of the 15 hottest years ever have occurred since 2000.

Let me know when the temperatures of YOUR cooling world return to 1980s level. Hint- 2019 isn't shaping up well for you. DRAT!!! Game - Set - Match - YOU LOSE!!!!

2016>2017>2018> . . .
As for 2019, I had thought El Nino might pause the cooling trend briefly, but declining solar output seems to have undermined that El Nino. So the jury remains out on 2019, and cooling will continue in 2020 in any case.

Like I said, let me know when your "cooling world" gets back to the 1980s levels. Maybe you should halt all postings til that happens.
