It may, or may not. The El Nino of 2019 may indeed pause the cooling trend, but cooling with continue in 2020 regardless.

So you acknowledge that you have been wrong if 2020 is also one of the warmest year on record?
 
It may well be one of the warmest years on record, but cooling since 2016 will continue.

So you will still claim global cooling have begun even if you have six years in a row that are amongst the ten hottest year on record?
